This food was probably the best experience I will have this year. A master fully composed symphony of flavors perfectly executed. Knowledgeable, attentive service. A special memory.

We waited for 20 minutes to be seated despite a reservation. The hostess was not apologetic but rather snooty. We waited another 20 min for bread and another to order and another between each course. The food was outstanding and the service good when we got it. However, the experience was frustrating because they are understaffed. Also, because the chef recently won (well deserved) awards, some of the waitstaff seemed full of themselvesVegetarian options: Available but not chosen

We went there for the 1st time tonight and were blown away-service was incredible and sadly forgot the receipt to remember her name. Food was absolutely incredible! Most outstanding dish for us was the pork belly appetizer! Everything else was so beautifully presented and all the flavors were on point making it a full on sensory experience -highly recommend???

Great food and wonderful service! The flavours were delicate and well balanced, yet super flavourful and unique. The presentation was beautiful. The service was great; We took our time and didn't feel rushed.

We came on a sunday without realizing that there is a set menu on sunday's, I was pretty skeptical going into it as the menu items sounded very unique and I am a tad on the fence when it comes to new foods. I was pleasently surprised by what we ordered, but I thought that everything was so close to perfection, yet not quite there yet because of the small details. Everything was presented beautifully, the cucumber salad and the beef carpaccio were delicious as appitizers. The steak was cooked to perfection and is from Alberta, as a person that grew up in Calgary, this was still proabably one of the best steaks that I've had. Although the fried hash with the steak had a burnt flavour because it was put into overcooked oil and the almond's with the halibut made the flavour of the whole dish bitter. The desserts were amazing and I loved the sorbet's that were served as pallet cleansers, although it may be helpful if the server's could point that out as I imagine that not everyone would know to eat the dessert that way and the flavour is vastly different if you ate the sorbet with the main items of the dessert.Service was fantastic, Shane was super attentive and personable. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and would definately recommend this resturant.

BEST FOOD AND SERVICE IN VICTORIA. we come here every time we’ve visited. Don’t be silly, make a reso!

From the moment we entered the service was top notch, every little detail just added to the experience. Shane was knowledgeable, attentive, and professional. Every dish was beautifully presented, and tasted amazing, the highlight being the tenderloin. When in Victoria, this is a definite destination.

The menu is excellent and the staff welcoming. When we visit Victoria it is always a place we book. It still remains one of the best restaurants I have eaten at. The halibut is always excellent and have never been disappointed. Great little place and is a must do when visiting.

Worth the splurge!!! Yes it's expensive. And yes it was amazing! Good things are worth spending money on and if you've never had a fine dining meal, this should be on your local list to try! Service was attentive and on point. The meals were paired wonderfully with reds and whites appropriately. We started off with a super fun creative chai inspired whiskey sour! If James has it available, order it!!! When they say their tenderloin is like butter, it's true. And yes, you should pair wine with your dessert! It's a small venue, with small tables but the service keeps on top of your table helping to avoid clutter. Thanks Chef, James, and Ryan for the great time!

This is a hard review to write. Been here a few times for brunch so wanted to try dinner. Atmosphere was nice. Food was good. Prices high with small servings. Service not spectacular considering they did not seem short staffed. Managed to forget to give us bread, brought my drink for dinner when I was almost finished meal and asked how my meal was when I had more or less finished eating. Table was stained. Hard to pay 275$ for two people with this kind of service. I am a local and sadly won’t be coming back.

We greatly enjoyed the whole experience of dining at Saveur. We chose from the 3 course Sunday menu and the food was superb - it was delicious, and beautifully presented and the unique flavour combinations were a wonderful adventure. (Who knew that chocolate and beets go so well together?) The service was also outstanding. Our servers Jamie and Ryan were warm and welcoming and very helpful. Many thanks to all the staff for an exceptional evening.Highly recommended!

Absolutely love this place. Tried nearly every dish on the menu and enjoyed all of them.Food is not cheap and a little floofy (small portions) but that is expected at this type of place and food.I tried the scallop and beef entrees, both were fantastic. Our server was one of the best I've ever had as well, very nice guy and oddly decisive in helping us choose meals which was greatThe beet salad with the airated goat cheese was quite something. The chocolate cake has a beet white chocolate ganache poured in the middle and was great

My Mum and I celebrated our birthdays at Saveur and had a lovely dinner. Our server Shane was thoughtful and attentive and explained portion sizes and every dish with care. We did a 3 course tasting menu with snack add ons and shared plates to get the most variety. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and delicious! The beef tartar, halibut, beet salad, and desserts were my favorite. I can’t wait to go again- it was pricey but worth it for the quality of ingredients- it’s an experience and you won’t be disappointed. The restaurant gave each of us a birthday card with a personal message which was a nice touch. I also highly recommend the peppered bourbon cocktail- it was delicious!

The food here is great. Really delicious, seems chef inspired as opposed to trucked in. Portions were weird. They only had 2 “large plates”. One was filet mignon, 3 or 6 oz. The other was scallops, 4 for $49. They were small, about the size of a quarter, perhaps,3/4 inch thick. If you had an appy and that, you’d have left hungry. We shared everything between 3 and had a small bite of most things. $380 for 3 with wine. Could have eaten more. Weird….cause the food was great, charge more and make the portions bigger

We went for the 5 course valentines tasting menu. We were a seated at the bar. Jamie’s knowledge and passion of the cocktails he was creating was a delight to witness and chat about. Every course was outstanding. My personal favourite was the tuna! My partner had the wine pairing and we loved the way each wine was presented and the details of the vineyard and the grapes. We especially loved when the wine moved from France to Spain he said “ now we hop on a quick flight to Spain” it made us giggle. Thanks for an outstanding evening.
