We're a family of 6 and for some reason, our main dishes came 25-30 minutes apart. Kids were served first then we had to wait almost half an hour for the other mains to show up. By the time our children were just finishing up their meals, we were just getting started and they would have to sit there while we ate. When I made a complaint about it, the server literally just shrugged his shoulders. Nice.
When we go out to dine as a family, we should be dining as a family and not eating a half an hour apart.
The other thing I noticed while there is that the place wasn't very clean. From the moment I walked in the door, I noticed a thick layer of dust and cobwebs throughout.
This was my second visit to this restaurant in over 2 decades and recall having a bad experience last time.
I don't post reviews often, if ever, but this experience was terrible, I sent my meal back as I didn't feel like eating anymore.

I was really disappointed with my experience here. The food was extremely expensive for the small portion sizes we received. When we picked up our takeout, we were handed four boxes but weren’t even offered a bag to carry them—especially frustrating since it was raining outside. For the price we paid, it didn’t feel like a great value at all.

My wife and I have been going here for years, and it's always been amazing. The staff are incredibly nice, and the sushi staff are just as friendly. This place is more authentic than most Japanese restaurants. The staff are almost all Japanese, and if not they're still fluent in Japanese. The food is authentic as it can get without being in Japan, and yes I know, I've been to Japan more times than I can count on one hand.
Little tip. If you want your food faster, order from the kitchen instead of the sushi bar.

The prices weren't bad, good quantity but the food was missing presentation, and flavour in my opinion. Besides that, the overall structure makes the ambiance, but the lights looks very poor and not well crafted, losing privacy and ambiance

In my opinion the best sushi in Victoria. They are the most traditional Japanese restaurant you can find here.
They have signature menu items and dishes that you can’t get anywhere else.
The restaurant is very clean.
The service is always good.
They can get pretty busy which can cause the kitchen to back up a bit and service to be a bit slower but food is always good and consistent.
I always highly recommend to anyone I know.
I would also add that prices are very reasonable, you do not feel like you are being over charged as I often do in other sushi restaurants.

Last night (Friday, 6 pm) I enjoyed some sake and sushi rolls with a friend and it was great! The food was very tasty and fresh. Excellent spicy tuna and dynamite rolls.
The service was slow, but this can be forgiven because they were very busy.
