Love, love this restaurant. Every time I'm in Victoria, I always make a point to visit here.Today I got the Southern Belle Benny and as you can see by the picture it seems a little strange. Let me reassure you, this is one of the best bennies I have ever eaten. Omg all the ingredients got so well together and there is a huge flavour profile here. The only thing I'm disappointed in is that I ordered the half portion and not the full.
Kid-friendliness: Smoothies and the chocolate chip pancakes put smiles on their faces and mine too.

I saw reviews for here that said best Benny's they've had and I can honestly say I wholeheartedly agree. Reasonably priced, fantastic breakfast.Will definitely come back here next time I'm in Victoria.*Disclaimer* - it seems Victoria is struggling with staffing issues across many of its restaurants and Shine Cafe is no exception, so be prepared to get take out or be turned away. We were super grateful to get 1 of the 4 available tables.

We decided to give Shine a try during the week, since the weekends are usually lined up (as with most brunch places). Got a table right away, although they filled up quickly. Service was excellent, quick to refill water and coffee and checked on how we liked our food. Not a fancy place, but clean and comfortable. I had the special, a Reuben Benny which was really delicious. My wife had a breakfast plate. The potatoes were great, as long as you like rosemary. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic service and food. Place was busy, but didn’t have to wait long for a table. Service was great, all staff were very attentive and the coffee was topped off numerous times. Lots of menu options, I had the San Diego Benny, so good!

Great spot for brunch. Menu is huge, including vegan options. Service is friendly and speedy. Restaurant is clean and spacious. Portions were large, which usually is a sign that the taste and quality are questionable, but not in this place! Both omelettes and pancakes with peach were delish! Good central location in downtown Victoria. We will go again for sure.

Almost everything can be turned vegan and the meals are extremely tasty! They use Just Egg and they really know how to cook it. I highly recommend the omelettes! I change the cheese to more avocado and it was perfect. The grilled tomatos are realy good on the side. Updated from previous review on 2022-07-29

we were lucky to stay across the street from shine cafe, so we were able to get in as soon as it opened. great food, and i loved that they had just eggs for an egg substitute. a wonderful place to grab breakfast/brunch!

Took a chance when we walked by … so glad we did ! We were greeted warmly and were seated quickly. A great looking menu with lots of variety. We both had Eggs Benny - mine was the San Diego and my husbands was the classic - both were very good ! Our server was attentive, warm and friendly :) Thank you for great food and service.

Had about a five minute wait at 1230pm on a Saturday. Very friendly service. Food was hot and tasty. Crispy jalapenos were delicious. Lots of empty tables at 115pm when leaving. Usually there is a lineup outside between 9am-12pm.
