Came here for a Staff Christmas party and had a good time in the Pub. Drinks are good. Average drink prices. They have Non-Alc for those who dont drink but like to be social, many options on top, and bottle. Food was OK. It may have just been an off night but the atmosphere is fantastic. Ill spare them a 1☆ demotion for food as I would give this 4.5 if I could give half stars.

They always have such yummy vegan dishes here! I was pleasantly surprised by this taro root dish tonight, the flavor was amazing and loved the different textures. Our service was excellent, the waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable.

7 stars, our server Roxanne made our anniversary dinner so great! And since we are both gluten free we were amazed that we found a pub style atmosphere WITH gluten free comfort food! I swear I thought I'd never find a pub that had even a decent selection of gluten free foods and Six mile pub really impressed! We had the poutine, cod fish and chips and Thai chicken salad, all items that would normally have gluten, and we left happy and will be back soon to try even more! Thanks a ton! :)

Six Mile is a favorite, and we are always delighted by the experience. Whenever I come to town, I make a point of having a meal there, usually with my mom and my sister who has celiac disease. It's great that they have an amazing ambiance, terrific service and truly excellent food. Every time! This restaurant is famous for the truly great gluten-free options, but they have food for everyone here.
The other thing I really appreciate is the innovative menu options... this is not run of the mill pub food, although they do have classic pub favorites as well, just down to a really high standard.
Today we had brunch. I had a truly excellent mushroom toast that normally comes with a poached egg. They were extremely accommodating and made it substituting the tofu instead. It was complex, beautiful, and completely original. One of the most delicious things i've had in a long time! My mom had crab and lobster quesadillas, which were rich and delicious. And my sister had a decadent eggs benny.
Highly recommend this to anybody that has dietary restrictions or just wants to have a unique experience with really excellent and unique food.

I stop in at least once or twice whenever I’m in town, four or five times a year, as it’s close to where I have to go for work. Nice and easy to stop for a pint at the end of my day, and it is a lovely little spot on the river. A nice old pub.
Today I stopped for the usual pint while in the area and enjoyed great service and ambience as usual. I’ve never a complaint about either!
The issue started when I paid the bill. I had been flicking through the menu earlier and noted the price of a Guinness was listed at $10.25. A bit high (cost of a pint is $3.60, after full tax, and yes, I do know that for fact, I order my own kegs for home) but nothing out of line. After paying the bill, and finishing my pint, I noticed the bill said $12.00 for the pint.
I was unable to find my server, so asked the bartender about it, who started by saying that the bill price must have included taxes. Checked, and nope, taxes were on top, bringing the total to $13.80. He then said that ‘oh well, there’s a bunch of beers on the tap list that we haven’t carried for a while, so the menus are just out of date.’
I know it’s not a huge amount, you can’t even buy a Timmie’s coffee for $1.75 these days, but at the same time it was the responses received, and attitude that turned me off.
It also made me wonder how many others have been ‘misled’ by ‘old menus’ even on the food, etc. I didn’t have anything to eat, so can’t comment on the menu food prices versus the bill prices, but I do know that had I know a pint was $12, I would have not had it.
The pub is still lovely, and the service has always been great, but I would very strongly suggest anyone going, or thinking of going, to double check their bills versus the menu prices.

Can't beat the ambiance of a heritage building and very old pub during the holiday season. Absolutely a great place to grab a beer and a bite with a friend.
We had Happy Hour appies, which were good.

Lobster bisque was tasty but only warm, not hot. Salad and house-made dressing very good. Could have used two pieces of garlic bread instead of just one: one to mop up last dregs of soup, the other to go with the salad. Server was excellent as we didn't feel hurried. Loved the ambience with views across the deck to the Gorge waterway beyond.

Took our mother out for her birthday and decided to pop in for lunch, service was absolutely wonderful with Pam being wonderful not just to us but every guest I saw her with during our time there. Had the fish and chips and I'd argue it was the best I've ever had and well worth the price. Also, almost everything on the menu from my understanding is gluten free and as fair-trade as you can get which is a nice thing to see nowadays and a definite plus for people with dietary restrictions.
All in all, with the historic significance the 6 Mile has with a great staff and even better food I'd highly recommend going here if you find yourself in the neighborhood.
I absolutely love this place, my friends and I just loved to the island for school and this was the closest pub to our new place it has an amazingly cozy atmosphere, the servers here are so friendly (shoutout to Pamela for an amazing experience as always) and the food is delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone :)
