The service was good the boy was very freindly but the girl was using her phone she didn’t even gave us water after 10 minutes she gave us water totally not worth it .

The paneer dish (shahi paneer) I ordered tasted great (4.5/5), but the portion sizes were incredibly disappointing, especially considering the price. I received just 1.5 scoops of rice alongside a curry that came in a small cup (Yes, A CUP!). For such a basic ingredient, which is inexpensive, the serving size felt almost insulting. Why even bother at that point.
The curry itself barely sufficed for one person. Having tried paneer dishes from various restaurants, I’ve never been served such a meager portion, especially at regular menu prices. As someone who is Brown and frequently cooks curry at home, I know it doesn’t cost nearly as much to prepare as these restaurants would have you believe.

My teenage daughter wanted takeout from one her favourite restaurants for her birthday dinner so asked for her go to dishes: butter chicken, veggie pakoras and potato naan. The dishes were hot, fresh, tasty and perfectly spiced - we also ordered a tarka daal and it was fabulous. The staff there are very friendly and poured me a cold drink as I waited for them to assemble my order. Would recommend this place for takeout or eat-in and will be back again soon.??
Kid-friendliness: My teenage daughters just love the food here - mild spice will suit all palates.
They charge a quarter for a takeout bag. I don't understand why the cost of a paper bag can't be adjusted in the cost. The food is okay but like all other Indian restaurants, they use a lot of refined cooking oils.I want the owner to know I have stopped ordering from your restaurant as of last week only because of bag fees. Absolutely deplorable business practice.

They catered a friend's wedding recently with four different events. Each event had a unique menu from a different part of India and each one was executed to perfection. The owners are wonderful folk who went over and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. They provided phenomenal service and food of utmost quality. Can't wait till I'm in town next time to try the set menu food and cocktails!

We were in Victoria for our friends’ wedding and Sizzling Tandoor provided the catering for all the events with their food truck.You can tell even before tasting the food that it is a step up from your regular Indian wedding fare.We were impressed with the range of items- Sizzling Tandoor masters everything from North to South Indian cuisine. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS, from the fresh bhaturas to the idlis to the kathi rolls to the fusion pasta. They can do everything from innovative street food to the classics like mattar paneer and daal makhni.They also put a lot of care and attention into ensuring everything is perfect, from the presentation to the food temperature. These are the characteristics one wants in a food caterer for special events like a wedding week. Sizzling Tandoor is a class of its own for Indian caterers.I would highly recommend Sizzling Tandoor for your next event if you are in the Victoria, BC area.
