Didn’t provide us cutlery,no napkins,no greeting from receptionist and very expensive and low quantity
As someone who has grown up enjoying authentic Indian food, I was genuinely looking forward to trying this place. I recently ordered a takeaway and, unfortunately, found myself quite disappointed with the experience.
The dal makhni lacked the depth and richness one typically expects – it tasted undercooked and was missing any notable flavour. I also ordered the Nargisi kofta and paneer tikka masala. While the koftas themselves were quite nice in texture, both curries had an almost identical taste, and not in a good way. The overpowering tomato base reminded me more of tomato ketchup than a well-balanced Indian gravy.
I genuinely hope the team takes the time to taste the dishes they prepare from time to time – it would really help in maintaining quality and offering customers a more authentic and enjoyable experience.
I did take-out but the restaurant was so nice inside! I love the food there. Most of the options are gluten free!
Staff 10/10
Service 10/10
Food 10/10
Buffet less options but still 10/10
Really enjoyable food, and great service!
The establishment exhibited a lack of service, with an exceptionally long waiting time. The restaurant was not particularly busy.
Food from the buffet was decent but it was lukewarm. The server was nice. I had a serious bout of diarrhea when I got home after eating there. Indian food doesn't generally affect me that way, I think something was off.
we went in this restaurant in the evening we expect alot from this restaurant but the food didn’t meet our expectations. If we compare the food with the price than the food is not worth it . Because when we went to authentic cuisine of india the quantity and quality both were good even though we took the food with us but here small bowl of shahi panner cost for 22 dollar . The service was good the boy was very freindly but the girl was using her phone she didn’t even gave us water after 10 minutes she gave us water totally not worth it .

If you’re looking for delicious Indian food with fantastic vegetarian options, Sizzling Tandoor Westshore on Phipps Rd in Langford is a top choice. Ordering through SkipTheDishes or picking up takeout is super easy and convenient, making it a go-to spot for those nights when you want to enjoy a restaurant-quality meal at home.
One of the standout dishes is their Navratan Korma—a beautifully creamy, mildly spiced curry packed with fresh vegetables and nuts. The flavours are perfectly balanced, and the rich, smooth sauce is irresistible. It's a vegetarian delight that even non-vegetarians will love.
Another highlight is their vegetable samosas. Crispy on the outside and filled with a savoury, well-seasoned vegetable mixture, they are the perfect appetizer or snack. Every bite is flavourful, and they pair wonderfully with the tamarind and mint chutneys.
In short, Sizzling Tandoor Westshore is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. Their vegetarian dishes, especially the Navratan Korma and vegetable samosas, are exceptional. Whether ordering via SkipTheDishes, sitting in or picking up takeout, you’re in for a treat!

Amount of options was around average for the Victoria area. Taste was average to be honest. Did think the service was pretty good and the venue is nice enough although some of the seating is showing signs of age. Overall a good deal for a buffet to enjoy at lunch.

The paneer dish (shahi paneer) I ordered tasted great (4.5/5), but the portion sizes were incredibly disappointing, especially considering the price. I received just 1.5 scoops of rice alongside a curry that came in a small cup (Yes, A CUP!). For such a basic ingredient, which is inexpensive, the serving size felt almost insulting. Why even bother at that point.
The curry itself barely sufficed for one person. Having tried paneer dishes from various restaurants, I’ve never been served such a meager portion, especially at regular menu prices. As someone who is Brown and frequently cooks curry at home, I know it doesn’t cost nearly as much to prepare as these restaurants would have you believe.

Service was exceptional as there was only one woman working who served all the customers quickly. The food leaves much to be desired. Not much flavor and some items tasted old.

Ordered via UberEats and received overcooked/burnt chicken. Normally I would order from Johnson or Uptown locations, which have always been fantastic. UberEats wouldn't provide a refund for the quality issue -- won't be returning.
