I’ve tried this cafe more than once in hopes that one of these days it might be better. It’s not. I was told their matcha is high quality but I couldn’t tell because my latte was mostly milk. And to make it worse, the oat milk tasted like cardboard. 😭

Ordered a small mocha and they made it wrong. I told them, and they did not make it again, just dumped the top part and served in the same cup. No apologies, and it tasted horrible. No good customer service, no good product, and they are not friendly at all as they did not even say hi and asked ‘What do you want’. It was a perfect form of ‘no go material.’

Good coffee, delicious snack, and good selection of gf and vegan options as well. A nice chill atmosphere. FYI no wifi if you’re needing that :)

Friday evening walk by the water with sunset. Live music, good selection of bakery and beverages. Friendly people. That yellow wall and hand-lettered menu board, so warm and welcoming. The musicians by the piano, the sunlight streaming through the front windows. it feels like a little corner of the world where time slows down.
And the sign outside, with that cozy red awning and spiral symbol: it’s just right. A place that holds joy and gentleness in its bones.

My absolute favourite cafe in the city for a whole buncha reasons. The bevies and food are all tasty, the character of the place, the great location (the heart of the community!), the great vibes, and the staff…they’re all just the best. They are virtuosos, they work as a team, and they have hustle. I am always gifted with smiles. It can get busy and when it is, I don’t ask for too much special attention. This is saying a lot because I can be high-maintenance ;)
As we zoom through space on this big ball of dirt, I’m grateful to have Spiral Cafe zooming along with me!

Coffee was good! Service was EXTREMELY bad. Absolutely zero customer service from the two older ladies working the counter. Not a single greeting or smile. Felt extremely unwelcome and cold vibes from them. Will not be going back sadly.

This is exactly what a cafe in the 90s was like! Nary a horizontal exposed wood slat surface in the place! Fun colours, live music, cozy window space. Great community space. Coffee and service are fine but the atmosphere is really what's happening here.

The staff are nice and friendly, but the hot chocolate was low quality. It was definitely an instant mix, probably nesquik.
