I consider myself a pizza fanatic, and my range of great pizza extends to legends like Di Fara, Johns on Bleeker St., Kestes, Spumoni Gardens, Gino's of Long Beach, Frank Pepe's in MA, Regina's in Boston, and some greats in Chicago that I can't remember off hand.
This pizza was a solid NYC 7.6. I had the meat lovers and it was well balanced, with all the flavors standing out. It had a very nice Italian seasoned meatball, crispy bacon, large pepperoni slices (I prefer the smaller kind personally). I think the total flavor of the pie was lacking a cohesion that would elevate the pie. The pizza was cooked just right with minimal flop and a perfect undercarriage. It had a pleasant amount of red sauce that also was nice and garlic-ie. The cheese was not over done and while it has reg and fresh mozzarella, it don't over power the pizza given all the other flavors on it.
I will definitely go back next time I visit and try a different pizza. I definitely recommend this place. Not only because of the pizza but because the staff were great going above and beyond to help this poor tourist enjoy there pizza. (It's a take out only establishment FYI).

This pizza was clearly crafted with so much care. The workers at the store are always extremely kind and efficient. This should be your new favorite take out spot for pizza night!

Like a real Italian pizzeria, tomato or cream sauce, best thin crust airy and crunchy on the edges, down to the minute when it will be ready. They cater to their customers personally no skip, dash or delivery. Prices include the tax :)

Always good about answering phones and hold times, I love when I show up a little early and get to watch my pizza in the wood fire oven. Staff is always working hard, I see the number of finished chits when I pick up an hour after they open and am always impressed. Highly recommend, best pizza in Victoria.
Got a 16" meat lovers pizza and for the price, it was underwhelming. The pizza was quite dry (not enough sauce), and there was a fair amount of meat on top, but it wasn't anything astounding and without a good amount of sauce, resulted in it being pretty dry. Dough & crust were also pretty under-average, despite hearing a lot about how good their crust is. Cheese was tasty, though.
It's a shame because I've heard a lot of good things about Standard and seems others have had a good experience, but the one time I've ordered and paid a fair bit more than other local joints I was very disappointed.
This could be a one-off experience, but $32 + tax for a less-than-average pizza doesn't encourage me to return soon. Perhaps go for one of their smaller pizzas and give it a try for yourself.

The only place to get pizza in Victoria. Everything tastes wonderful every time! Good value and the large pizza is actually huge (my pic is 2 smalls). Take out only and sometimes there’s a little wait! Its worth it and I love going here
We love you. Can you please make a Montreal style all dressed pizza--classic... we just need green bell pepper. We love you more!

Absolutely the best pizza in town ! I recommend the kale, or the bacon. Delicious. I feel like the staff was choked that I tipped 14.2% (5 bucks on a 35 dollar order of two small pizzas) - I do feel like I need to agree with others here who commented, more friendliness would be great with the staff there. Five bucks is five bucks, I think it's important to recognize that when someone tips it's weird to not say thank you even if it's not the amount you were hoping for. Just my thoughts!
