I don't usually write critical reviews, but after my recent experience, I felt compelled to share both feedback and a suggestion for management.
I am a huge fan of the Peri Peri Chicken Bowl and am a very regular customer, ordering it at least twice a week from other locations. Unfortunately, my visit here did not meet the standard I've come to expect.
First, I specifically asked the staff member to omit spinach and lettuce from my bowl, but she added them anyway. I then had to have them removed.
More importantly, the quality was disappointing. The bowl seemed incomplete—even after I asked, I believe key ingredients were missing from the top. Most notably, the chicken did not seem to be freshly marinated before being heated, which significantly impacted the flavor.
For reference, I find that the location at 3749 Shelbourne St Suite #209, Victoria, BC V8P 5N4 has by far the best taste and consistency. I would strongly suggest that the team here take notes from the staff at that branch to improve their preparation and attention to detail.

Dirty restaurant, likely violating health codes. Had to ask the person making my sandwich to change their gloves. They had gloves on when I arrived, proceeded to touch the cash area with same gloves then wanted to make my sandwich. This completely defeats the purpose of gloves.
I watch him improperly measure my ingredients as if making a sandwich based on how much he likes or dislikes a customer. No lids on any of the food, no beard net worn by employee, rotting vegetables in the trays. Not returning here. I will be reporting this restaurant and any other subway establishments that operate this way to the food health & safety board. You are not meeting health standards on any front. This place is disgusting to say the least, and the employees show no desire to make improvements. Needs to be shut down in favour of a local sandwich shop.

Just 2 minutes walking distance from this place Always try to take subs from here Customer service is incredible and they prepare food according to customer preferences not only adults but also for the kids Majority of the staff give much concentration for the food which they make and multiple times asking about the quantity of the veggies and sauces Not protein portions...😉😉😉

Easily the worst subway in the area. Save yourself if you drive and just go to another one. 😬
I live 2 min away from that subway so unfortunately by default doordash only offers to buy subway from this location. They always mess up something in my sub, either over toasted, either the wrong bread or missing an ingredient/barely any of it etc. I’ve walked in before as well as I live right next to it and tried to give this location multiple chances, it’s been disappointing each time. My subs are never done with good care. It’s always done poorly. They’re pretty cheap with the ingredients and every time my subs are missing meat in both ends. Poor job overall. And i’ve ordered from there 10+ times if you include Doordash orders and walk ins.
Some serious improvement to be made with this place. Safe to say I’ll be using Skip the Dishes from now on if i crave Subway since we can choose which location when we order. Or just drive to another location.

Great place to buy fruit and veggies. Trying to buy local is almost doable but some is American and you know how we feel about that. Buy Canadian and stand up for our country.

There is a lot going on inside and out. The nice person making my food was polite, meticulous, and thorough even with a busy environment. The team at this subway was relaxed and content. At least it seemed to me. Amidst what also to me seemed like a storm. Truly aspirational.

Meatball sub was over-toasted, and the meatballs were tiny and rock hard - literally inedible. The other sub we ordered was BBQ steak, they subbed chicken and didn't tell us even though we were right there in person. Won't be coming back to this location.

One of the worst subway I ever had worst customer service attitude problem both staff one Chinese and one Philippine girl don’t know how to talk nicely to the customer I never recommend anybody to eat there.

I really like the subs but lately the staff at this location is extremely rude. Very short with customers, one told to hurry up while they rushed, only 4 people in the store and everyone was relaxed except the workers. One swearing while kids were in the shop eating. I ordered a numbered item and they told me to customize it myself later very rudely rolled her eyes and turned away. At the top of the list it says say a number and we'll handle the rest so why do I get a rude response because she doesn't know how to make the sandwiches. It's a pointless board of your staff doesn't know it. Anyways it's too bad. Most workers are great but the younger girl I dealt with and the other swearing around children will ensure I won't be back.

I don’t know why they rush so much there is no customer on that time. I asked them to toast the bread it’s not properly toasted and all the veggies come outside from the sandwich.They don’t even packed properly.
