This was the worst sushi I ever purchased. I’ve had better in grocery stores. Stodgy sushi and the chicken karate was barely edible. I’ve eaten sushi for 40 years and this was the worst.

Unassuming little restaurant tucked into a side street in Cook Street Village. Food was fresh and tasty, service was friendly. Prices were very reasonable, especially their bento lunch special. They close after lunch at 2 pm and reopen again for dinner at 4:30 pm. We will definitely go back.

THE best sushi in Victoria— try their tofu crispy rice, it’s outstanding!! We love the staff too, they have made a point of remembering us and offer such kindness every time!!

I’ve been to maybe 20 different sushi places. Sushi Jiro is definitely the best. I keep coming back for their spicy tuna and salmon oshi. Literally the freshest and tastiest sushi in town. Service is always wonderful, staff are super polite and attentive. This is 100% one of my favourite places in Victoria. Thank you sushi Jiro for another lovely meal tonight.

We showed up right at 8pm, they were closed. we did not look up the hours so bad on us. Owner came to the door unlocked and invited us in with a smile and grace. Insisted for us to come and sit eat and enjoy.
Food was great , presented well and great service. If you’re looking for sushi in cook st village and Fairfield this is the place to visit.

Sushi was wonderful and tasted fresh, the special rolls are fun and tasty! Staff was one of the best parts, friendly and answered all our questions

This was, hands down, the BEST sushi I've had. It's rare to find creative options for vegetarian sushi, and the crispy avocado and garden roll were top-notch!Everything was fresh, great taste and clean presentation; nice work! BEST Sushi I have ever had. Our family with children went there and everyone was so pleased. Service and friendly atmosphere was excellent. Can't wait to go back again. Highly recommend.
