Sushi Mago makes the best sushi in Victoria. No contest. The loveliest people work there. Everything is super fresh, ready on time and prices are quite reasonable. We love this place so much!Parking: Small lot, but always a space available. Exiting is difficult, requiring either an illegal left turn across three lanes or right turn across separated bike lane/right turn lane combo, thru lane and then to left turn lane if you want to head back to Gordon Head Rd or to McKenzie. Not business fault, it's poor traffic and safety planning on Saanich's part.

I buy a miso soup, a Cali roll and a rice. It takes 10 minutes to make. When they give it to me they tell they are closed and I have to leave. I didn’t want take-out. They seem like nice people, but should inform customer if they can eat in or not.

Ordered takeout directly from the restaurant. They said it would be ready in an hour. Went to pick up my food at the scheduled 1 hour after ordering. Waited in the restaurant for 35 minutes. They could’ve let me know that my order wouldn’t be ready at the scheduled time and to come back in 1/2 hour… but nothing. Just made me wait and wait.When I finally got home and ate my sushi, there was a hair in it! I was so disgusted.Was not a pleasant experience tonight and it’s going to take me a while to go back there, if I ever do.This is my second time trying this restaurant. The first time, food was decent. Second time, the food was not that great. Smaller portions than last time, crab meat was soggy and seaweed was tough. This combined with the long wait time and hair in my food was unacceptable and disappointing.

It's a small place but the owners are friendly. We had a Bento box for lunch today and I'm surprised with their black sesame salad dressing!! Never ever had I had black sesame dressing before and I love it. The tempura and rolls are fresh and delicious. We'll definitely be back.

It is more like the seats are there for you while you wait. Food was all delivered to-go even if you are eating in.Parking: Parking is fine if you are coming from the right direction. If you are coming from the North, park by Subway.
