I ordered a sushi roll that was supposed to have mango, cream cheese and avocado. No mango little avocado. 1/2 the roll was imitation crab- not listed as ingredient. Ordered cheesecake for dessert. Portion was lillipution. This restaurant is just trying too many things. Japanese and Korean menu, Filipino waitstaff.

Nice neighbourhood sushi place. The food is quite good, the prices all alright, they should definitely work on cleaning up and renovating the section towards the back, they'd have a really good space if they did.
Sushi Story has long been my favourite place for, you guessed it, sushi. But after recently having my heart broken by a change in command at my former favourite cripsy chicken source- Crown Palace (NOT recommended, see my review), I’ve been on the hunt for a new supplier. Enter Sushi Story!
Twas an average Tuesday afternoon, I suggested to my daughter that we go out for lunch. Burgers? Nah. Sushi? Yeah! Off we go to our favourite Japanese restaurant. Once seated I noticed a sign that simply read “Popcorn Chicken $15”. She assured me they were delicious, and I was still on the hunt for delicious cripsy chicken, so I indulged, rather than getting my usual bento box. Great decision. Big portion, super cripsy, killer hot sauce on the side for controlled sauce coverage. I’m so happy! Also spicy tuna roll which was delicious as always. My daughter enjoyed her meal as well. But the highlight shall always be I FOUND MY NEW CRIPSY CHICKEN PLACE!!!

My girlfriend introduced me to this place on one of our first dates, and now we're regulars. The service is consistently great, the staff are always friendly, and the sushi is some of the best I've had in Victoria. I'd definitely recommend the spicy tuna or salmon, the crunch go-go roll, and the Alaska roll.
