First time trying sushi ya I orderd ahead on their website it was so quick and food was warm and flavourful I got the deep fried crazy boy roll, edamame and miso and everything was so good!!! The restaurant was clean and the payment was super easy and fast, prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be coming back!

We’ve been ordering their Deluxe sets since they first opened and always supported this restaurant — never once missed leaving a tip. Their food has usually been fresh and well-prepared, which is why we kept giving them chances even after some service issues in the past.
However, our recent experience was unacceptable. We came for a family event, and the service was extremely disappointing. No water was offered, and staff prioritized other tables who arrived after us. It honestly felt like there might have been some discrimination involved.
We asked three times for kids’ chopsticks, but they never brought them. Our child kept waiting, and eventually we decided to leave without even taking our meal because they still hadn’t brought them. When the server came over, instead of apologizing or fixing the issue, she only asked why we were disappointed.
After years of loyal support, this experience was deeply disappointing and disrespectful.

⭐☆☆☆☆ I’ve never experienced such unprofessional customer service in Langford before. I went to pick up a DoorDash order and politely asked the front staff about my pickup. Instead of a simple greeting or update, I was met with a rude tone and dismissive attitude.
After providing my order number, I was told it would take 5–7 minutes, so I waited outside. When I returned after around 15 minutes to check again, the same staff member responded with an unfriendly expression and said the order was still not ready.
A basic level of courtesy, respect, and communication is expected at any restaurant—especially one serving customers directly. This experience left a very negative impression, and I hope the management addresses the behavior of the staff to ensure customers feel welcomed, not disrespected.

The food there is fantastic. One of the best sushi I have tried. I tried Caterpillar R, Oahu Salmon and Special Sashimi. I noticed that the cooks and servers were Japanese, so the food was very authentic. I would recommend to everyone to go and try their food.
