We visited on Valentine's Day so it was probably unusually busy. The overall ambiance wasn't great, it felt like a basic and noisy pub. Not so great for couples as there were a lot of huge tables. The food was not gourmet but excellent - very tasty. The servers seemed very friendly, competent and experienced but were hampered by the kitchen being overwhelmed. Our reservation is for Feb 14th . Swan as always been of the highest quality in all aspects, so I expect their usual perfection. Ill check when I get home to make sure.... We think we have a 6:15pm Feb 14th in the Restaurant and a 8:15 PM res for the pub itself.
We were at the Pub on a Saturday 5-7pm, our server was Jessica who was excellent. It was happy hour, I had the Blackberry Sangria which was excellent, my husband had a beer and we ordered onion rings to start. The onion rings were very flavourful, I would highly recommend them. For dinner I had the Hot Fried Chicken Burger. This was probably the best Chicken Burger I have ever had. The chicken breast was bigger than the bun, sweet crispy with just a bit of heat.
