Tapas on Oak Reviews
Beautiful cozy spot with fantastic food! I loved the green beans and dumplings. Looking forward to returning:)
Great food, great owner, and gorgeous decor. A great spot in Oak Bay to have tapas and wine. Loved the watermelon gazpacho and the Yorkshire canapés.
First of all, the owner Dan is so friendly and welcoming! They have a really versatile menu that offers something for everyone. The atmosphere inside is so warm and inviting. The patio looks onto beautiful oak bay avenue..and the staff are awesome! 10/10 - very good first experience

Menu
Tapas on Oak provides a cozy dining atmosphere with its warm red interior and friendly, attentive service. The bison dish is praised for its tenderness and flavor, and the bread, despite being marred by overpowering raw garlic, pairs well with the meal. The roasted duck spring rolls and Szechwan green beans are highlights, and the crab cakes, chicken karage, prawn risotto, dumplings, and patates bravas are highly enjoyed by diners. Non-red meat options like salad are also satisfying, and the bread with garlic butter complements the dishes nicely. Trinity, the front-of-house manager, is known for her attentive and humorous service, making the experience even more enjoyable. The chef, Jason, manages to produce consistently good food as the sole chef, which is a testament to his culinary skills. The restaurant also offers excellent wine deals, especially on wine Wednesday when wines are half-price. Overall, Tapas on Oak is a favorite spot for many, praised for its great food, friendly service, and warm atmosphere.
