Great experience. Lovely atmosphere and service. Especially at Christmas with the decorations.
It's tea and finger food. Yes it's somewhat costly but not to sure what people are expecting reading the other recent reviews on here.

Tea was good but not $588 good. The experience was fantastic but again not $588 for 3 people fantastic. Service excellent food was lovely but the price point is ridiculous. We were offered champagne to start and NONE of us realized we were being offered almost $50 per glass champagne. I would save the money go for dinner somewhere else amazing and do the substantially less expensive tea at Butchart gardens!

Very Expensive for what you get!
Stale bread and store bought desserts served with chipped tea pots.
If I'm paying a lot, I expect a lot.
Disappointed.

The building is historical and has an identity, upon arrival you feel like you are entering into another era, which I liked the most about it, front desk people were very professional and helpful, it was a good experience overall. Recommended 👌

Such an amazing experience. The staff are all lovely and the food and tea were delicious. Our tea expert, Manon, really took care of us, ensuring that we had a memorable time. Highly recommend!

We had a great time and no hiccups from start to finish. The live music was much appreciated and service was wonderful from everyone involved.

Be upfront about any preferences or allergies. They will accommodate you just have to tell them. We had members in our group that do not do caffeine and the staff were more than happy to offer off menu tea they had available.

Everyone had a good time. Was it the best food we’ve ever eaten? No but we were just here for the atmosphere and to hang out together. Are there cheaper ways to do this? Of course but this is what we all wanted to do.

We’ll be glad to come back!

Pass on this one. The staff is great. The China is beautiful. The room is plain and next to walkaway/ hall that is busy. Nothing special. No linens and sall
tables, uncomfortable chairs. The food was dry and seemed like it was old. We went at 2pm and the food was stale.
Nothing spectacular, especially for the money.

Nice place with excellent service. Just a bit over priced with the food quality.

Extremely overrated and disappointing.
I made reservations a few weeks prior, they were nice and called to confirm a day prior. The front desk people were friendly but the service was very mediocre, it seemed understaffed or servers were probably not having a good day.
Food was horrible, absolute trash for what you pay, nothing was fresh, everything seemed like it was taken out of the freezer. Costco has better snacks and desserts.
Tea wasn't bad and the set up was actually pretty but my biggest issue was the quality of the food, you pay over $100 per person to eat food out of a box. Come on Fairmont.
I wouldn't recommend this, outrageous for the quality you get.

The best high tea ever! Great food, surroundings and service. Highly recommended.

We love having high tea everywhere we visit. The service was amazing. We don’t feel rushed. They had a different tower for my two kids. Everything tastes amazing. Only down side was it was expensive. For one adult and two kids (I did get a $30 cocktail) with the tip it was over $300

Is it expensive? Yes. Is it delicious? Yes. Is it worth it? I think so. The tea and accompanying sandwiches and sweets were tasty. My only complaint is that for the price, two scones should have been served per person. But the ambience is top notch, as is the service. If you’re visiting Victoria and high tea is on your bucket-list, this will be worth the stop.

“Tea experience” in high society style:

Want to feel robbed while listening to live music? Expect elegant gestures and helpful smiles as tea is served with a sophisticated charm that will make you pay more than a night at this hotel. This is not just tea - it is a way to experience luxury and irony at the same time.
