Thai Green Elephant Restaurant

I ordered spring rolls, chicken pad Thai and mixed vegetable dish for delivery. Spring rolls seemed to only have vermicelli inside. Pad Thai was a generous portion but quite bland, even though I ordered medium spice. Vegetables were fresh and a little on the bland side as well. I’ll try eating in one day and ask for menu recommendations.

Excellent Thai food. First visit today, and looking forward to many more. Lunch special is a great deal. Really like the Thai iced tea.

The best Thai food in Victoria.

My wife and I thought we'd try this place for Sunday dinner. Ordered the Pang Panang chicken with broccoli (never seen veg not sauced). Menu pictures from Jan 2025 said $21.50, when actual price was $23.50 (out of date). Rice is $3 extra. This is the first time ever from a Thai restaurant, that the container was not brimming. There was so much space leftover, it was like a half portion. Taste was okay, but Panang by definition and all other Thai experiences have been thick with coconut milk and peanuts. This, instead, seemed to be a thin red curry sauce, with neither of those, and very little sauce to speak of. Very disappointed. Would not recommend unfortunately. This is my lowest review to date. I should have read other reviews first.

Ordered take out, Panang with chicken. The flavour was mediocre but what was worse was the anemic amount of curry sauce in the dish. Maybe 5 tablespoons worth. Hardly enough to even flavour the plain steamed broccoli and dry chicken in the dish. A few slices of red pepper amongst the chicken. No rice included. This dish is Overpriced. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Reeeeeally good Thai food!!

Worst Thai, if you know actual Thai food. The chicken stir fry was dried out old chicken strips that couldn’t absorb the sauce if there was any! It was actually as if it had been previously frozen and then reheated… I’ve had better left-overs ($22). Do Not buy the Pad Thai of any kind. We had a tofu and, unfortunately, a chicken. The base was noodles with a scant bit of sauce and some chicken leftovers thrown on top. My wife is vegetarian , but she found chicken in the tofu pad Thai, and there was lots of tofu substitute in the chicken pad Thai that I had. Oh and to top it, just get regular rice if you do, there was barely any “coconut flavouring “ at all. Very disappointing, we were so excited too, we’ve had Thai food from several different restaurants in the area and honestly ALL were better than this stuff!

I have never been disappointed. Fast service, great food, and tons of vegetarian options.

Best Thai Green Curry I’ve had.

I've been eating at and taking out of this restaurant since ~2016, and the food was consistently amazing. Last night we ordered our usual few dishes and to say that the dishes were disappointing is an understatement. The recipes were not remotely the same, the meat was scare, and the veges were way, way overcooked.
They have a new webpage and a new Facebook page with the old page now being 'unofficial' so it's fairly safe to say that the restaurant has new owners or management.
To paraphrase the great, wise Winnie the Pooh, “How lucky I am to have had something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

On point with the Red Curry ?! Friendly service.

I came here last night with my wife expecting good Thai food it was horrendous not even close to Thai food all the flavors were off and the temperature is cold even the soup had no steam. I ordered the tom yum gai pad thai and red curry. I could get better pad thai at thai express in the mall. Also I got sick and through up after I ate here would not reccomend never coming back here again and I advise you to check out other places for Thai foods.
