Food is horrific, got the fish and chips and they were cooked in old burnt oil and the fish was dry. Seemed unsanitary too.

I came in during a huge rush and the staff still managed to remain warm and friendly - which is not easy! The food was delicious and the restaurant itself is inside a beautiful old character home. Also, despite a huge number of people all coming in at the same time as me, I still got my food quite fast. Definitely coming back!

This was the perfect spot for a big family. Great atmosphere & good food! We didn't feel out of place with somewhat noisy kids.

Cosy, quirky place that feels like home. Food and service both great. $7.50 for an enormous pint of local beer. I really liked how you could get half portions of menu offerings (soup, salad, etc.) so we could try a few things for lunch. Would recommend!

During our stay in Victoria we had breakfast at The Bent Mast. The weather was nice and we were able to sit outside. I ordered an omelette with mushrooms, which was very tasty. The employees were also very friendly. A nice place!

Fantastic dog friendly patio 🐶close to the parliament buildings and Emoress Hotel in Victoria. We will visit this place again! Fast and friendly service.

A wonderful little gem just a few blocks from the RBC Museum in the James Bay neighborhood. My wife and I decided to try this spot as it was a short walk from our rental suite and we were delighted with our experience. I had wild rockfish & frites which was fresh & light on batter with deliciously seasoned fries. My wife had a half garden salad and the deep-fried cauliflower which came dipped in a mildly spicy brown sauce reminiscent of Korean BBQ, and was simply outstanding. Nice selection of Scotch and draught beers (I had the Hazy IPA on tap). Atmosphere was cozy like a familiar English pub (we both appreciated the all-in Halloween decor), and our server, Serena, was prompt & friendly. Five stars with no hesitation.

Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately, the Bent Mast is not wheelchair/walker/stroller accessible. There is a set of stairs from the sidewalk to the patio, more stairs to the restaurant itself, and the washrooms are on an upper floor. Passages between tables inside are narrow.
