My partner and I arrived at The Churchill around 5pm. The bar was roughly 70% full, with two bartenders on shift. Most of the seating is at the bar, but there are a few booths and tables available. We planned to sit at a booth, but every one of them had dirty glassware and napkins left behind.
We waited beside a booth for about two minutes, hoping to catch the attention of someone responsible for clearing and sanitizing guest areas. At first, we assumed they might be short-staffed. Instead, both bartenders engaged in a long conversation behind the bar, repeatedly making eye contact with us but never acknowledging us. They continued chatting and joking with each other while we stood there waiting.
After five minutes, we still hadn’t been greeted, offered a table, given a chance to order, or seen anyone make an effort to clean a single table. We ultimately left without receiving any service at all.
What a depressing experience, one that I'll definitely remember.

It’s Nov.21, 2025. Sitting here with my daughter, really hungry after the 6 hour drive. Nobody came for the longest time. She did get to order a drink, but they never came back to see if we wanted to eat until we were leaving. We definitely will not be back. $19 glass of ice, still hungry.

I love the drinks and the bartenders. I always sit at the bar and have the greatest time and great service. Very disappointed to hear that they are cutting down the amount of taps. It’s one of the main reasons I come here and many others do as well.

Disappointing stop in for a late night snack and drink. The chicken wings were dog food, heavily breaded, not up to downtown Vic standards. Might be a good place to stop in and watch a game and have a beer.
Visited this bar for the first time tonight , great atmosphere and lots of options for beer and cider. Nashville chicken sandwich was delicious, I chatted with the bartender Abid for a while , he was delightful and he had some great suggestions for places to explore in Victoria ! Will definitely be back

Stopped by from our cruise, Karla our server was great. Had the bratwurst with potato salad and the mac and cheese with the pulled pork and the fries were awesome. Being a huge fan of the Beastie boys i had to try the brass monkey beer and it was delicious. Thank you Karla! 😊
