We are so very sad that this wonderful gathering restaurant and it's wonderful staff are leaving... it is a loss for all restaurant customers that enjoy a unique experience. I'm hopeful that they will return and pop up elsewhere! Thanks for all of you years of great enjoyment and food! Bless you all!

The food's excellent, small menu though. Charcuterie board's great to share, not much else was, which was a pity. Friendly staff, funky space, a bit pricey for what's on offer.

This was my first time here. The space is beautiful. The food was delicious. A great place to have brunch! I’ll be going back!

In a fun neighborhood. Vary cool atmosphere--decor, staff. Food took over 30 minutes to arrive after ordering, despite very few patrons at the time. My wife's vegetarian pasta looked great, but she ate less than half because she felt it needed more sauce/flavor. My beef tenderloin was OK, sides not so much.

Amazing and can’t describe it by words. Have to try it out in person. The food and the cocktail are fantastic!

Food was horrible. There was sand in our muscles and the flatbread tasted like an instant mini pizza that was heated up in microwave. Only thing that was wonderful was our server. Unfortunately will not go back due to the food.

Lovely evening, started with Prosecco, charcuterie and olives, they were out of the mussels and tostada. We made do with truffle fries which were very good, as was the charcuterie and good value. A bottle of Riverlore just to sip and converse. We weren't rushed, and the music was not too loud, lots of people out on the sidewalk to watch, overall an excellent time.

Just the perfect spot on Cook st for an amazing meal with great ambience, fabulous service and a welcoming manager/host! The pre dinner cocktails were delicious as well. Will definitely return anytime we are in this area... highly recommend!

I took my mom there for Mother's Day weekend, and she said it was the best piece of fish she ever had. I had the vegan charcuterie board, which was also delicious. Very nice wait staff as well.

My wife and I have eaten here a number of times. We like the menu and the selection of wines. Last night I had the mussels(very tasty, with a bit of heat) and broccolini (also very tasty). My wife had the vegetable platter and fries, which she enjoyed. Non-alcoholic beer for my wife and a glass of Zinfandel for me. All good.

The portions at The Collective were minuscule. My companion had rabbit. The portion was so small that the restaurant should have been embarrassed to send it out of the kitchen. My sablefish portion also was tiny. It was OK in flavor but the thin broth it was served in had barely more flavor than water. It had about a tablespoon of barley lying at the bottom of it. This contemporary scheme of giving patrons tiny portions is obviously an attempt to get them to order more courses in order to pad the bill. None of the four of us will be back. We were insulted. Our waiter was very nice and efficient. No problem there.

The Collective Wine Bar & Kitchen is a true gem in Victoria's culinary scene, offering an exceptional dining experience for wine lovers and foodies alike. The restaurant's self-proclaimed title as Victoria's premier wine bar is well-deserved, with an impressive selection of over fifty wines that are sure to please any palate.During our recent visit, we came in for a late-night bite to eat and drinks after walking on the beach at Dallas Road. Our server Bryanna provided excellent recommendations, suggesting that we pair the Fine Cheese & Charcuterie board with the BC wine Flight, which proved to be a perfect choice, the Brut from Frind winery in the Okanagan was our favourite. The cheeses and meats were perfectly selected and presented, and the wine flight from BC enhanced the flavours of the food.Tip: If you enjoy Olives or Nuts with your charcuterie, consider adding them since they are omitted. The Roasted Bone Marrow was also a standout dish, with the perfectly cooked marrow melting in our mouths. The dish was rich and decadent, making for a perfect late-night indulgence. The music playing during our visit set the perfect ambience for an intimate date night, and the worldly selection of music only added to the overall experience.Overall, The Collective Wine Bar & Kitchen is a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable wine and food experience. The selection of wines is truly impressive, and the food is expertly prepared and presented. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is casually elegant and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great night out in Victoria.

The restaurant looks great but very loud. Also there is a dj at around 8:30 which makes it to make a conversation with your partner even more difficult. The food was tasteless and not worth the amount of money.
