The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the staff was great. However, the place is a bit small. Overall, it was a good experience.

Delicious food, great service. This restaurant is at the bottom of a parking lot off Menzies Street in James Bay (across from Thrifty Foods). The food is wonderful, the service is great. I will return often.

We find the food consistently delicious. The server is very polite and wellmeaning, however more staff is needed to keep up with the demand for this type of quality Indian food. They also do 'take-out' which does not improve the ambiance with folks coming in and out for pick ups. The thing I do find weird is their insistance on serving water in plastic bottles at no charge instead of chilled tap water as they used to do. I do not drink bottled water - so I'm weird too: I bring my own water and glasses!
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian choices are an integral part of Indian cuisine, so no problem in finding a wonderful meal.
Dietary restrictions: staff very accomodating of special requests although they are pressed for time.
Parking: this restaurant is part of a small mall. There is a large, free parking lot.
Kid-friendliness: All are welcome. Many families favour this restaurant.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible.

Here are my opinions for the items I ordered:
Tandoori Soya Chaap - Perhaps the best item of all the things I had. It was soft and flavorful
Mango Lassi - I ordered it looking at other images in the review. It didn't look as good, but the taste overall was good.
Herb Naan - It was nice. They had sprinkled a few herbs that looked nice. The naan was soft, aromatic, and not too rubbery. I'd recommend it if you haven't tried.
Kadai Paneer - Very Average. You won't miss anything if you don't have it.
Vegetable Biryani - I'd rate this the lowest of the things that I had. It was a little too dry for my liking and. Definitely felt they could've done better catering to vegetarians.
This is a good restaurant overall for sure, but the rating on Google maps is way higher for the quality of food it offers

A rather precious little Indian restaurant not too far from the Victoria Harbour.
You might not find it when you approach, as the restaurant is located at the ground floor of the building.
Ordered their butter chicken and cashew shrimp, plus garlic naan, all very nice, which remarked as a memorable moment of our trip in Victoria, will definitely come again.

Outstanding Indian food! Samosas were hot and served with a tasty sauce. I had mango chicken and my companion had lamb saag. She said it was some of the best lamb she'd ever had. Both were perfectly seasoned and spiced. Don't miss the mango lassi.

I had an amazing dining experience at The Coriander! The food was absolutely delicious, with vibrant and authentic East Indian flavors. The service was top-notch—attentive, warm, and made me feel truly welcome. Every detail contributed to a wonderful evening. Highly recommend this gem in the neighborhood!
Vegetarian options: They have a generous selection of vegetarian choices, which is cool

So, we lived in Surrey BC. Largest population of people from India outside India. We know good Indian food. Tonight we had Chicken Madras and Navrathan (sp?) Korma with rice and garlic naan. Absolutely knocked it out of the park!!! Fantastic food, totally authentic and bursting with flavour. Service was very good, but with the quality of food they serve, I would put up with terrible service and still give 5 stars. Setting isn't much to look at, but I'm not here for the decor. Hands down, best I've had. WE'LL BE BACK!!!
It’s a great place. Food it’s delicious and the staff it’s great, it’s small and cozy. Service a little bit slow but they got packed when I was there
