This is the best burger. Period. I live close by and go with others fairly often. Had the beef - excellent; lamb - outstanding; chicken - also great. And the veggie burger is the best ever. Better than Big Wheel and Bin 4. Ordering on line is seamless and it’s always ready in 10 mins or less. Go. Now.

Sadly after the Winter Holiday, the Eatery came under new management which meant new employees and a drastically cut down menue.Good news is, their new Burgers are GREAT! Their Cheeseburgers come with a nice tangy burger sauce and the fries are nice and crispy!Bad news is, that's about ALL they got. Beef n Chicken Burger combos and deep Fried Fish meals. Gone are the old staples like corn flake battered chicken strips and buttered chicken curries.Still, it's a great place to get a delicious burger meal!

Lamb burger was simple, fresh, and delicious. Good quality meat and not fatty. The fries were a generous portion and were cooked to perfection -- really good fries! Friendly service. Glad to see this place is still around. I'll certainly be back.

Live nearby and the Hive is a staple! Fresh ingredients, quick service, and amazing food. Just had the lambburger and it was the best burger I've ever had. Would recommend this place any day of the week.

The food was not good. The chicken strips were dry and stringy. Some of the fries were raw, as in uncooked potato. The fried fish was moist, but the batter tasted strongly of curry. The menu does not say curry flavored fish n chips, so they are not separating the items.The staff is friendly and maybe they will improve their cooking. The meal was not worth the money, so I do not plan to buy from them again. Yes, I did like the old Hive and this is very different. It is not just a matter of taste, they are not preparing the food properly. Raw fries.

Last day in Victoria and found this little local and fresh spot! Read some of the reviews about how "it's not the same as it once was with new ownership", yatta yatta ...didn't let it phase me as I have never been here before so there's no way for comparison. The spot, in my opinion, does not equate for a bad review whatsoever!The food is fresh and local, as the people of BC adore and prefer...and as a fellow Canadian I prefer that as well.The service wasn't extremely fast or slow, which is perfect balance for little dives like this.I had the Conrflake Chicken Burger, and added that bacon as well. A nice portion of well cooked fries came with it for about $19.00 CAD, as to be expected these days. Tasty, juicy and nothing was dry, just very fresh from top to bottom!The only suggestion would be for the burger to have a little bit, just a little bit more sauce, yet it was still delicious.If one has not been here before, previous or new ownership, I highly recommend to come and give it a go. Not disappointing at all! ??

We went there last night and it was delicious. Well-seasoned. Will definitely be back for more. The only thing is I wish they served water in glasses instead of having to buy a plastic bottle.

This is a great place for a quick meal to pick up, and the seating area outside is lovely. It was slow when we got there, so it only took about 10 minutes to get our food. I would definitely classify this as elevated "fast food" in a way. The fries are delicious, crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. We got the chicken burger and a beef burger. The chicken burger was pretty solid, it had a good amount of veggies on it which i appreciated. Both the chicken burger and beef burger had what I felt to be a bit too much meat. The beef burger was a pretty thick patty, which isn't my personal preference. Overall it was good, but I don't think it'll be my new regular burger spot. I definitely want to go back to try their butter chicken poutine though! I also appreciate that they're open till 8, which is later than a lot of other local restaurants. I would love if they expanded their menu to include a few spicier options as well though!

Great place to eat! We are from out of town and also mostly plant based. The staff made a few adjustments to make our meal plant based. And it was delicious! We had the falafel burger and it was really good! The outdoor eating area is also a nice touch!

New owner! Loved the old Hive, Love the New Hive even more. I was looking forward to this treat all week; my sweetie and I got two burgers with fries and split them. They were both scrumptious. Hell yas, I'll be back!
