It was like stepping into the Italian bakeries I grew up with in Toronto. The cakes were exactly the ones I had as a child, too. The owner worked at an Italian bakery in Toronto as well. Pasta is amazing too.

Brilliant ice cream, super sweet service, though too hot indoors.

My favourite bakery in Victoria! This place is fantastic. The smell of fresh baked goods from the minute you enter to the welcoming staff feels like comfort. The owner also has donated to worthy causes - which is truly amazing. A great local bakery and my go to.

We love to pop in here on a rainy day. The olive buns are a gem. The coffee is great, and so is their London Fog (best we've had).

Visited on March 19, 2025 after a visit to the hospital. Shop is small but impressive! Really great selection of treats & sandwiches. We enjoyed our spicy salami bun the most! Will be back to try more soon :)

I’m lmao at this place rn.
I have been meaning to go here since ‘05, when it first opened before I moved away from Vic.
I’m back now and have been searching everywhere for pistachio gelato.
Walked into this place (it’s Italian after all, and they advertise GELATO).
They only had a few of the most basic, basic, basic flavours, no pistachio or spumone :(

I asked them if they had any food or sandwiches and the person working there said no, they’re sold out.
They only had a few sweet treats and it’s 2pm on a Wednesday.

I’m unsure how this place has managed to stick it out for so long in this location, as there isn’t really anywhere decent to park, there is no seating to sit and eat/drink, it’s on a busy street, has weird hours (closed on Monday Tuesday and Sunday? And some Saturdays?), when it is open during a fairly peak time they don’t have anything to eat.
Lol! Oh well best of luck.

Very cute place with many tasty treats and yummy gelato! Lots of ready-made food options to take home as well if you're looking for a quick and easy dinner or dessert!

I’ve been going here for over 40 years and it never disappoints! The staff are very friendly and know many patrons by name, and the coffee, gelato, breads, and pastries are all excellent.

The take home frozen mac and cheese is almost inedible. Noodles are mushy, no flavour in the sauce whatsoever. For almost $20 I would expect higher quality ingredients.

I love this place. Great baked goods, lovely staff, and cozy atmosphere. The Italian sweets here are some of the best baked goods in the city.
