my fiance and i ran in quickly for lunch and ended up staying way longer than we expected! our server was amazing (i didn’t catch her name) but the owner roger was incredible! we talked with him for quite a while and had the best time. couldn’t have asked for a better experience! 🤍 we’ll be back for sure!

Stopped by The Local for lunch and absolutely loved it. The fish tacos were amazing — big portions, extra fresh fish, and so flavorful. The zest and sauce really brought everything together.
Service was great too; the staff were helpful and gave solid recommendations. It’s a nice corner spot with a great view and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Lunch hour was busy, but for good reason. I’d definitely go back next time I’m in Victoria.

Stopped by The Local for cocktails and had a fantastic experience. The drinks were spot on, but the staff really made the visit. Even though it’s a busy bar, they went out of their way to make our 11-year-old son feel genuinely welcome and included. It’s rare to find such friendly, attentive service in a bustling spot like this. Great vibes and even better people—we’ll definitely be back!

The cheesecake tasted almost exactly like diabetes and the pretzel tasted like heart disease. However, yall get a 5 star for the great staff (our waitress chased us down with the merchandise I left behind), good drinks and atmosphere.
