We went to check out open mic. It was a full house. It was alot of fun watching the performances.
I didn't try the food. I only had the cold beer.

I visited for wings night and unfortunately had a bad experience. The wings tasted off, almost rancid, and didn’t seem fresh, more like they’d been reheated. I had a stomach ache afterward, so I hope the kitchen reviews food quality and handling.

Service wasn’t any better. We had the weirdest experience.

If you’re looking for good wings in the area, Hecklers Pub is a better option.

The Loft Pub is hands-down my favourite hangout whenever I’m in Victoria. The food is excellent—tasty, sensible portions, and paired with reasonably priced drinks. I also really appreciate the little touches, like water glasses being topped up constantly.

The staff here are wonderful: attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone has a great time. They deserve a big thank-you for keeping this gem glowing.

Of course, the live music is a huge draw. The musicians are incredibly talented, mixing original songs with crowd-pleasing favourites that keep the dance floor packed all night. I recently caught the Graham Francis Band, and they had the place hopping through three energetic sets—impressive!

What I love most is the atmosphere. There’s no pretension—just a friendly, welcoming crowd out to enjoy themselves, share some laughs, and dance. That vibe, combined with the quality of food, drinks, staff, and music, makes the Loft Pub a true standout.

Highly recommended—if you’re in Victoria, don’t miss it!

Great little neighborhood pub, a local spot I like to frequent to play darts and for beer and nachos

I agree with comments about overpriced food, tried the poutine and it was really salty. Wasn’t worth the price. I’d feel better knowing the extra money goes to the runner ( about 4 trips up the stairs in an hour)
The bar is not wheelchair accessible.
Live music is great.
There’s a space in the back that is empty, could use more seating, just feels dusty in that part.
You can’t talk with the band playing. Older population. Bar girls were good. Didn’t go to the restaurant. Not sure I will now.
Ample of parking around. Once you get up stairs- it’s very warm!

I have been in Victoria for just over a year now and as a musician it’s a fantastic place to hang out, to jam, and to meet people.. open mic jam nights on Wednesdays and Sundays are always lots of fun and you never know who or what you’ll see… entertainment seven days a week highly recommended !!
