Even though I walked around the store looking for a product, no associate came to ask me whether I required assistance despite no customers in the store and staff milling about. I was not greeted by the cashier. She told me the price of the product, gave me my receipt and then walked away. My take away is that she is racist as I am a visible minority or customer service here is not what is used to be.

My visit to The Vitamin Shop turned sour due to the staff’s blatant racism. Staff murmured amongst themselves making unwarranted racially insensitive comments about how my friends and I, all Asian, must have just come off of a tourist bus and proceeded to approach us as if we wouldn’t be able to understand English. This level of unprofessionalism is honestly astounding. If you’re a person of colour and would like to be treated with basic respect I would strongly suggest visiting elsewhere.

I had a distressing and disgusting experience. A worker named Bonnie was helping me, and we started a pleasant conversation about pets. I told her I had a service animal, and she seemed really interested. She was eager to see his picture. To which she responded by saying she would like to slaughter and eat him, "Yum yum." Not only shocking, but it is a violation of the Human Rights Act to threaten a service animal. That is like directly threatening me as a disabled person. It was surreal, and I am spreading the word about this clearly disturbed employee. I am considering filing a formal complaint.

I have been purchasing all my vitamins online from The Vitamin Shop for about 20 years and usually order at least once a month if not twice. I have never had a problem with an order and usually receive them within a few days. They have an excellent selection of vitamins and I like it that I can get all my vitamins from one place. They are usually cheaper than anywhere else as well. Thank you for the great service over the years.

I have been shopping at the Canadian Vitamin Shop for over 10 years because their selection of natural supplements and, most importantly, their prices are unbeatable. Delivery is fast, efficient, and free when you spend a minimum of $75. Despite the fact that they upgraded their website, shopping online is still somewhat cumbersome, as some products are hard to locate. Although some of their staff is not as knowledgeable as I would expect, they try hard and do their best. I highly recommend this shop.

I called specifically to find out if they carried a particular homeopathic salt remedy, because I had to take a bus to get there.I was told they carry 3 brands, so I would definitely find it. I even told her I was doing a special trip to come and buy itWhen I get there an hour and a half later, a gentleman tries to find it. Clearly it isn’t there and he covers up for the false information given to me by saying it has been a busy morning!Please acknowledge that you messed up, I have worked in very busy retail situations, I would never give false information instead I would say I’m busy, could I call you back or you call me.Best to order online, forget about trying to support local businesses if they don’t know how to treat customers.
