My first fresh slice in Victoria and now they have a customer for life. Inflation proof prices and the slice was 9.2 grade all day long. I'll be here once a week as long as it's here and I'm here.

Ordered an east coast Donair and some pizza.
The Donair was garbage. The meat was old and overcooked. like boot leather. The pita bread was under the adverted size and stale. it was overstuffed with that stale meat and hardly contained the expected vegetables. their Halifax style Donair sauce was simply too sweet and sticky.
Since the pita bread was too small the excessive amount of sauce leaked out all over the wrapping. making it an ordeal to open. leaving my hands soaked.
I tried to eat it. since it cost a fair amount. I had to give up before I are half of it and I threw it in garbage where it belongs.
The meat colour and texture was so bad it made me worry that it might make me sick.

The only reason I gave two stars is because the pizza I ordered for everyone else was really good.

As an east coaster living on the west coast for 7-8 years and being deprived of garlic fingers with proper donair sauce, FINALLY someone has delivered. Top dog’s garlic fingers and donair sauce are the real thing. Haven’t had the donairs yet but with their donair sauce being as good as it is, I’m sure the donairs are great too. Thanks Top Dog!

my boyfriend and i regularly get takeout here and i always order the east coast donair. the thing is packed with tender meat and drenched with sweet sauce; ultimate comfort food. my boyfriend likes to get extra meat but to be honest you cant even close the thing cause they put so much. we've tried their pizza a few times and while its excellent too, the donair just cant be beat.

the staff are polite and efficient. if the seating was a bit more cozy we would dine in to avoid any potential sogginess.

Honestly we came here last week to get some donair shop poutine. The fries are always great at donair shops we find. Only we discovered that they don't even serve fries here which was horribly disappointing. While we were looking at the menu to find sonething else, the guy behind the counter was abrupt and rude. Also tapped his pen the entire time as if he was impatient for us to order or leave. We left without purchasing anything due to his behaviour. Won't be back for sure.

The chicken bacon ranch pizza is amazing, and they are open late so it’s the best late night food. Sooooo good, do yourself a favour and order from top dog ❤️

I was hopeful but the donair was lukewarm , dry meat, smothered, just drowning in sauce. See photo

Garlic fingers with ranch dip were pretty great. My partner is from Halifax and he has been dying to find an east coast style donair since moving from there 15 years ago. I saw this place was supposedly authentic for Halifax style donair, so we tried it out when we were in the area.

He absolutely loved it and I swear I almost saw a tear come from his eye because he was so happy to finally have a “pretty close” Halifax donair. For me, I found it to be quite messy and the sauce was too sweet for my personal taste. But other than that, it tasted good. I’d try a west coast donair next time, but I’m sure my partner would go for the east coast style again.

Thanks for bringing a bit of the east coast out west!
