Macaloney's Island Distillery & Twa Dogs Brewery

It was a very special visit, it was actually closed, but Tom came and made time for us whiskey friends from Germany. We knew Macaloney whiskey from a tasting and its Scottish-Canadian peculiarity. He showed us the visitor rooms and also the heart of the distillery, and there was also a small tasting. Great cinema, this employee lives the passion of whiskey making. The owners can be proud to have such a passionate employee!

Awesome brewery and distillery. The staff was super knowledgeable about the brew/distilling process, and everything we sampled was great. Looking forward to their next darker release!

I had an amazing experience on the distillery tour with Jack, who brought the fascinating story of the distillery’s origins to life with his passion and knowledge. The tour was a mix of history with tastings of both beers and a variety of whiskeys that showcased the craftsmanship behind each product. I’d highly recommend this tour to any whiskey enthusiast looking for a great time and some excellent spirits.

Amazing tour and great atmosphere!

Fantastic whisky and beer. Loved the whisky flights and that everywhere was dog friendly as we had our 2 dogs with us. Definitely the best whisky I have had outside of Scotland.

Do the tour! Jackie was great. The Macaloney's story is just as good as their world-class whisky. It even has some controversy (gotta do the tour to find out)! But that only adds to their character and a memorable tour. Thanks again!

Very nice, competent employees. The description of the production and differences between beer and whiskey were very graphic and easy to understand despite the foreign language. The whiskey samples were very tasty.

The hazy IPA was super delicious. Wish I had more time to try the other beers.

Russell gave us a great tour! The beers and whiskey I tried were all delicious. Especially the whiskey. The whiskeys are the best in Canada by far!
After the tour they also offered great price of whiskeys, so I bought 2 bottles of whiskey which are fantastic!!!
Definitely I will visit here again!

Very informative tour. Our tour guide, Russel, was very knowledgeable and allowed us to try different whiskies. If you are in Victoria, stop in and have a taste. You’ll be glad you did.
