We almost didn't eat here because idk... pizza seems kinda humdrum when you're traveling unless you are somewhere *known* for pizza. I'm glad we stopped and looked at the menu, which got us excited because the offerings are quite different. We ended up ordering a few different pizzas and my kiddo got some pasta and we were blown away! We ended up fighting over the leftovers for breakfast the next morning; we all wanted just a little more of Virtuous Pie's excellent pizza. Also, our waitress was super fun and nice. It was a bit slow when we stopped in and we enjoyed chatting with her.
Amazing food, amazing service. We got pizza, mac, Caesar salad, and some maple pecan ice cream on this visit. All of it exceeded expectation. And the server was so warm and kind!
Staff were all very nice. Food was really good. I’d recommend visiting.

We had a pie with sausage and capers that was a tad spicy and very good. We also somehow ended up with a kale salad (too much kale). Overall a good lunch.
I was very excited when a location opened in Victoria. The pizzas in my experience have been excellent, I do find they are best fresh at the restaurant. The kale caesar and mac and cheese were also longtime favourites. The last couple times I ordered the mac tasted like it had a different less flavorful sauce and the salad in restaurant was soggy. When I ordered the salad to go and dressed it myself I've had a better experience. The house made ice creams with seasonal flavours and canoli have never disappointed. I always eagerly await the berry cheesecake ice cream to come back into rotation. If the mac and salad had not gone down in quality over the past couple years I'd give 5 stars. The pizzas have stayed consistent however. The location has a small patio in the back that is sheltered by surrounding buildings, so while you get no nice views you are sheltered from the wind off the ocean. The inside of the restaurant is reasonable sized and has a nice bar area. Do not like the location for parking reasons, it's right downtown so parking can be rough and expensive. This was my 2nd visit. We arrived at 9 pm and were happy to find they have an evening happy hour. The pizza is delicious. Party of 3, only 1 vegan and the non vegans were very happy with the food. Sorry they closed the Portland location.

Big in- and outside seating, comfy! Nice service staff. Top menu w/ many pizzas and few pasta dishes, also dessert options. I was happy.
Everything we tried was absolutely incredible! The garlic knots, pizza, and ice cream were all perfection. I’d recommend everything they have to offer!

We tried the garlic knots to start and this set the standards high, as they were delicious! And we weren’t disappointed for the mains at all. The pizzas are imaginative and full of unique flavours far beyond your typical toppings. We had the ultraviolet (walnut pesto, cashew mozzarella, dried tomatoes, kale, caramelised onions and pine nuts), superfungi (herbed potato cream sauce, cashew mozzarella, truffle oil, almond ricotta, wild mushrooms and rocket), sweet Mary Jane (TVP bacon, caramelised onion jam, cashew mozzarella, hot honey, parmesan) and the August special Hawaiian Summer (cashew mozzarella, chicken shreds, caramelised pineapple, red onion and BBQ sauce). They all had a thin, crispy base and were a good size, so you were full without overeating. Their own nut cheeses were special and tasted delicious and the caramelised pineapple on the Hawaiian Summer was amazing! We sat outside on their patio space around the back, which was lovely, and the staff were friendly.
I have been coming to Virtuous Pie and loving it long before becoming vegan 💓 it’s my go to restaurant because I know anyone would love it! The icecream is my favourite icecream in town 💓
I am leaving a 3 star review because the last two times I’ve gone, the servers have completely forgotten about my table and I’ve had to go to the front and ask for service. Last night I was there and had to go to the front and tell them my server disappeared, we’d been waiting for about 25 minutes for someone to come by so we could order dessert and get to go boxes.
In July I was here with friends and we asked for water 3 times and never received it 🫣 and then our server clocked out and no one ever came back for us so we had to go to the front to pay and then I had to pay for the whole bill and have friends e-transfer later because the person didn’t know how to split it correctly🫣
Because I love it here I’ll always return, but if service could be improved I’d be so stoked!!!

The food itself wasn’t bad, but the service was really disappointing. I placed an order through Uber Eats and went in to pick it up. Nobody greeted me for almost 10 minutes even though staff looked over several times. Instead, they carried on a long conversation with another customer, and even when they came to the host stand, they still didn’t acknowledge me. I had to finally speak up and ask for my order, which should have already been ready.
When they did start putting it together, the order was scattered and unorganized. Once I got home, I realized one of the items we were most excited about wasn’t even included. I had to call back and request a refund, but at the end of the day, we were left without the dish we really wanted.
Overall, very unimpressed with the service and won’t be returning.

Order tonight and not only did they mess up my food majorly but the driver was horribly disrespectful. Never again. I have a nerve to sue this place and their delivery company. I hope they crash and burn.

I'm always happy to find fully vegan restaurants and after trying Virtuous Pie in Vancouver, we also had to check out the one in Victoria. We came here twice during our stay in Victoria. Food was really good and the staff was just lovely - very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to try one of their pizzas!
