Overall, all the experience was good. The value was good. The service was OK and the view was good.
We were given seating with the view of the city, it is not as good as the view of the ocean or inner habour. I did ask for the south view. The food was average.
We came here for my mother's 80th bday hoping to wow her with something special. It was the opposite of that. Everything took so long and the food wasn't at all impressive and we left THREE hours later unsatisfied and disappointed. Beware. Not worth the money or pedigree
We had a very special meal over the sunset with our Japanese friends here only for 1 day. We got the exact table we hoped for. We were given lemon and lime for our beverages. The food was split for our friends very well for the added $5 and they were both very satisfied after. My partner and I had 2 delicious meals that were satisfying and filling. And the apples were nice to share as well. We were also the lasts guests to leave and were given the grace to finish our meals and deserts with zero pressure. Our server was kind and checked on us very well and gave us a breath and didn't interrupt as we were trying to translate which took a while sometimes. Vista 18 is a hidden Gem in Victoria and we look forward to a brunch, lunch or dinner again.
What a view from that top of @vista_18 the other night! An amazing presentation of food, outstanding customer service and just an amazing evening!
We had an excellent breakfast with a lovely view of the inner harbour. Service was excellent, not rushed at all. The whole ambience of the restaurant is very nice. We have eaten here many times over the years both for breakfast and dinner and highly recommend it.
Unfortunately our last meal in Victoria was at Vista 18. Great view but the positives ended there. Sorry, but I would not recommend😕
This restaurant could be a real jewel but is seriously let down by the terrible food. The menu is quite limited and the few dishes on offer are inferior in terms of quality. There were 4 in our party and each ordered a different meal - all were terrible. Service is adequate and there are lovely views from every table. Fix the issues in the kitchen and is would be a winner.
I visited this restaurant yesterday and was extremely disappointed with the way I was treated. While the dessert was decent, the experience was completely ruined by the unprofessional behavior of one of the staff.
A female staff member approached me and asked me to quiet my two-year-old child, who was simply being a normal toddler. He was not being excessively loud or disruptive — just making the occasional noise as any child his age would. Her request was unrealistic, and frankly, offensive.
This is the first time I have ever experienced something like this in a restaurant. I’ve been to many places with my child and never has anyone made such a request. If this restaurant does not want children, they should post a sign saying “No children allowed” to avoid embarrassing and disrespecting families.
Had I known this was how parents are treated here, I would never have come. I left feeling unwelcome, and extremely disappointed.
Always a lovely time coming here when we have family visiting, or to celebrate a birthday. The panoramic view, of course, is outstanding and is a rare glimpse at all of
Victoria.
We enjoyed the flank steak, calamari, seared ahi tuna and a burger. My personal fave is the rich - and authentic - raspberry sorbet.
Service couldn’t be better. We were highly attended to, with friendly service and a keen eye on our needs.
Thanks for making another meal very special for my family.

Really good food. Steak was very delicious, so were the pancakes. Price was very reasonable and quality was fresh. The service from Oakley was excellent! Views are terrific!
Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience here. Food was not great, waited for food and service was poor. Views are lovely but food and service were very disappointing- I cannot recommend
The cod special was tasteless and undercooked/ also the raviolis sauce was not good. Halibut and hamburger were good however
Unfortunately our group of 8 wasn't that impressed with our experience at Vista 18. We booked for 1130am brunch on Saturday but were not told until 12:15 that they closed 12:30 to 2pm. So we had no idea that they were only open for an hour for us. 6 of us had the buffet which was not great, the food was cold and some of it was cleaned up already, we were charged for coffee and orange juice even though it was included in the buffet but they didn't say anything. The 2 that ordered directly off the menu their food came after all the rest of us had finished eating. We were sadly disappointed. The staff were very nice and we were seated with an amazing view.
Had a group of friends there for dinner… What an amazing evening. Special thanks to our waiter Kevin who rocked a little glitch and also handled one of my guests who arrived a bit drunk and was a bit obnoxious…
