I tried to go and the owner called me an antivax trucker idiot for questioning him on his new mask wearing policy. He has a sign out saying only 2 people allowed in and masks must be properly fitted to face . When will these idiots go away? Anyways I believe his business will fail and this has gone viral .

Sweetest family I’ve known since going to UBC in 1984 and still roasting their own delicious beans in Victoria in 2024!

I've had coffee in over 65 countries. Their Dark French Espresso roast is above everything else.

They used to be on Broadway in Vancouver. I had a flat nearby and used to get roasted coffee from them. Joke(Dutch spelling, pronounced Yo-ka), and her partner ran the place. I tell my friends that their Belgian chocolate was ambrosia. The best I’ve had. Danke Yoka❤️

I've been a customer for 40 years.

They are closed Monday-Wednesday every other week - apparently today (Tuesday, June 6, 2023) is one of the weeks they are closed. Also, they still require masks and have a limit of 2 customers at a time - which is just fine with me, but is an important thing to know! Will go back on Thursday to actually try them out.

Just walk by and find this shop. Self roast coffee beans.

The best dark roast coffee beans in Victoria. Roasted on site and always reliable. I get the beans ground there as well. Consistent grind and no risk of contamination with flavored beans (I believe the shop doesn't carry flavored ones).

Lovely coffee. The only downsides are their hours and really poor management of communicating them. They don't update google with their times, or a website, so everything will say they're open then you get there and they're closed. A few weeks ago they had a sign up that made no sense, no answering machine, so basically we have no idea when they're open these days hahahaBut it's a small "mom and pop" business and that's just how they work sometimes.Just be forewarned and don't make an out of the way trip without confirming they're there! If you catch them open, it's SO worth it. Lovely lovely beans

Excellent coffee bean selection. Grabbed some Dutch cocoa as well! Worth a trip. Great store and he’s been around a long time! Started in Vancouver and now in Victoria.
