Great sushi and excellent tempura. All their dishes are fresh and the flavour is excellent. Very friendly staff too; a great place for take away in Saanich

I ordered half chicken and donkatsu from door dash. They were out of stock for donkatsu but I paid $29.56 for half chicken and I only got like 10 pieces which is ridiculous. I am never ordering from here again.

I can see this becoming a new “go to” for Korean Fried Chicken. It’s a tiny shop in a small strip mall on W. Saanich @ Elk Lake Dr. We got half & half honey butter & sweet & spicy. Chicken was fresh, and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.

This place is a hidden gem with the best sushi in Victoria. Even better, our kids were recently diagnosed with celiac disease and we were delighted to find out that this restaurant can safely prepare gluten-free sushi as well!

Our kids are highly sensitive and react to even tiny trace amounts of gluten, so when they were first diagnosed we thought we wouldn't be able to keep eating here (and we were very sad). But then we found out that they're one of the few local sushi restaurants that can actually cater to gluten allergies and/or celiac! We've now taken our kids to dine here and they didn't have any issues.

The staff are consistently super friendly and helpful. They seem genuinely delighted to help their customers; once when my youngest daughter was a toddler and my hands were full with her, I even had a staff member carry my takeout order to my car for me! Last time we visited, we were even gifted some fun kids' chopsticks to practice with and take home with us. Definitely a wonderful family friendly restaurant staffed with lovely people!

If I had to pick one top favourite local restaurant, it would be this one :) Thank you for being awesome!

Kid-friendliness: Our kids love this place :) They are picky eaters but we just get them a bunch of cucumber maki and avocado maki and they're delighted.

The way to spot a good sushi place is to try their basic rolls and not just their special rolls. Having had both, my verdict is that Yokodomo is one of the best Sushi restaurants I have enjoyed in BC! Glad to have stumbled upon this gem.

A favorite of mine in Victoria. Great sushi with lots of different varieties. My two favorite rolls would have to be the spicy Salmon and the crunch roll. Both are amazing!!! The service was great too. We ordered and then went to the car to wait. Our cashier ended up delivering our food right to our car which was really nice.

I have only ever ordered delivery from here but I have to say Yokidomo has the best practices for allergies at any sushi place that I've come across on the Island so far!

I can't have gluten or wheat & I'm so happy I've come across a place that is safe for me to order from, that has a good selection of food safe for dietary restrictions, and is consistently pretty tasty.

I order through Uber Eats because of the allergen options and there was a deal for a free miso soup last time. The restaurant left me a note warning me it wasn't gluten-free, which I was very grateful for.

• honours requests for no wasabi (processed wasabi *can* have gluten, but the smell also just makes me nauseous)
• GF sushi is on plastic wrap (helps with cross-contamination)
• GF items clearly labeled on online ordering menu
• doesn't include gluten-containing soy sauce
• lots of GF options (though only one GF special roll)

After being glutened at other places, I'm so happy I found Yokidomo.

I will choose again considering there is variety of sushi options at Royal Oak, because for my first time I was impressed by the quick service, price and quality of ingredients was fantastic. I liked their attention to take out items- I can reuse paper bag, Saran Wrap protected carton and even the dish with ginger was recyclable. I sat in the sun at their outside table.
