Unfortunately this location has gone downhill. Staff are always friendly, food is average and the atmosphere isn’t great.My specific complaints with the atmosphere is some of the cleaning/general condition of things. For example, The glass globe lights hanging from above are caked in dust.As far as food goes, it’s ok. But it should be criminal to have a California roll on the menu and make customers choose either cucumber OR avocado.Location is convienent for a lot of folks on the west side, but there are better options if you’re able to go a bit further.

We don’t have a whole lot of options for food in west Kelowna but I’ve been sleeping on this restaurant for far too long! Amazing portions for the prices, our food came out steaming (as you can see) and incredibly flavourful, their in house smoked salmon is delicious and fresh. I will definitely be back!Also, was one of the only places open on Boxing Day that wasn’t fast food!We ordered;beef hot plate - portion was pretty big, it came with a big bowl of rice aswell 10/10Salad rolls to start - they were massive! I could have just eaten those alone.. so yummy 10/10Diamond roll - the cold smoked salmon was sooo good I was pulling it out of the roll to eat 11/10Sunomono salad - very refreshing and not too overpowering 10/10

I am VERY picky about sushi and have tried every sushi place in the valley. Yamato West Kelowna is my favourite. They have very high quality Atlantic salmon and are always accommodating of my requests. Fast service and fresh, delicious sushi.

Order for pickup. Maybe it was because I ordered right before they closed… but everything tasted fishy. Even the pad Thai that had no fish in it.Have a stomachache now and found a hair in my veggie curry. I guess that happens sometimes, but it was the trifecta in a single order.

A great casual sushi spot in a convenient location off of hiway 97.My dad and I stopped in for dinner and were really impressed with the quality of sushi from a casual spot. Our server was friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.I'd highly recommend this little value spot.

Not long ago I called 15 minutes before closing and they still accommodated me and took my order for pickup. Extremely friendly front desk, and they made all of the custom rolls I asked for perfectly. Thanks guys <3

Food is consistently good. I noticed that the prices have been going up and the portions have gotten smaller. I'm not a big person so I usually get two meals out of the trio vermicelli bowl but I am left hungry these days. I have always had great service here though.
Fast, friendly service today and everything we ate was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant for very reasonably priced sushi. Pictured is the Exotica Roll.

We dined there this past Sunday on Father’s Day, they were very accommodating and got 6 of us in without a reso (thank you!). Our server was knowledgeable and confident in what was vegan and what wasn’t!! Made us feel secure and like we could trust her. Even found some new items that we could enjoy that we previously thought contained milk/egg! Thank you!

Order dinner from their website for Xmas eve when I went to pick it up at 7pm and the restaurant was closed for the whole day so no food on Christmas Eve. Even worse when I checked my credit card they charged me.they try and say I ordered from a third party untrue when I fought the charge with my credit card company Yamamoto lost. Don’t give them your credit card#

Ordered pickup on Christmas Eve when I went to pick it up turns out they were not open for business on Christmas Eve. On the 26th when they reopened they charged my credit and still no refund they say I ordered through a delivery service untrue my credit card shows they charged my credit card not a delivery service. Don’t trust them with your credit card.Well I guess they knew the we’re in the wrong when I disputed it the credit card company gave me my money back. Very poor business practices don’t give them your credit card number you will be sorry they can’t be trusted.
