“We had a very nice night at Arike. The food was excellent and wines were perfectly paired. Don't sleep on this spot if you want excellent, unique food in Vancouver! The service was also good.Room for improvement:I think the atmosphere is lacking a bit. There is something cold and empty about it (both literally and metaphorically). A heavy velvet curtain to keep the heat in along the large window and a change of lighting may do this place wonders. Also the seating need to be a bit cozier.“
“First time trying Ethiopian food. The kids really enjoyed the food. The bread, injera was not your typical flat bread. It has the classical Ethiopian taste. The beef was delicious, it was well spiced and seasoned and was served in hot plate. Service was great, they showed interest in making sure we enjoyed the food. I took some points away because we were not given water to wash our hands and the food should be eaten with hands. Also the wash room needs some maintenance.“

“It was my first time experiencing this restaurant and it was delightful. The service was truly exceptional, and the ambiance was pleasant with an African-inspired theme. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious. I particularly enjoyed the grilled dishes.“
“We are a family from England staying not too far from this little gem ! Never have we been to an Ethiopian restaurant before , the experience was fabulous and the food was amazing , so tasty ! The staff were very friendly and welcoming . I hope we can find something like this back home to be able to share with our friends and family we enjoyed it that much !“
“I ordered the chicken leg with spiced rice whine my partner ordered the same but with chips. Both were surprisingly good. These 2 meals only cost $24.We initially wanted to sit at the patio but was denied since it wasn’t set up yet but the staff then kindly opened one of the doors to improve ventilation for us.Overall, great food and service, and good value.“
