here's why they are getting a 3 - a coffee shop that asks for a 18%, 20% or 25% tip, but then does not bring your coffee, brings your meal but not cutlery, and then when you ask for hot sauce (which you did at the beginning with the order but it doesn't come with the wrap) you are then rudely told to go get it at the front, SHOULD NOT be expecting the type of tipping you would receive when going to a restaurant. If I need to get my coffee, cutlery, hot sauce, and place my own order at the front, the business owner should be responsible for paying a decent wage and not expecting patrons to tip 20% for no service. gratuity is an extra payment for good service - so if you aren't providing good service, don't set expectations for patrons to have obligatory tip percentages. it's a matter of principle, and it's rude.

I like the atmosphere here. I’d give this place 8/10. Coffee is good. A bit above average in strength. I’d rate the croissant 7/10. It was a bit dry. Needed more butter.

Probably the best cake I've had in a very long time and the iced latte with oat milk was delicious. Go for the coconut cream cake, you will thank them later :) Also they had yummy sandwiches, shared a Southwest Turkey Sandwich with my mom.

Café Crema has honestly felt like my second home for the last eight years. On most days, I’d stop by at least once—often twice (morning poached eggs were the best)—during my seawall walks. Even after moving away from the West Side, I still find myself driving back just to grab a coffee and get some work done because of how connected I am to this place.

But lately, the experience hasn’t been the same. For months now, I haven’t received a single cappuccino that’s been made correctly—it’s always a latte or a dry cup with just espresso and a heap of foam. As someone who has been a daily customer for years, I expected a more consistent product and a warmer sense of familiarity from the staff. Instead, I’m treated as if I’m just another walk-in, which is disappointing. Even larger chains recognize their regulars—so I’d hope a local café would, too.

I’ve started exploring other cafés in the neighborhood, simply because my experience at Crema hasn’t met the standard it once set. Still, I genuinely hope that my next visit brings back the quality and connection that made this place special to me!

We are located at 7th and Granville in Kits and our morning walks are a massive part of how we start our days - RAIN OR SHINE DONT MATTER!

We get those 5km in and get the blood flowing

And that included some ur coffee either in our thermos or at the destination - for us Kits Kids - that’s Parallel 49TH at the top of 4th ave.

Our go to is their fresh 8:30 ham and cheese croissant…..which is why I’m posting this review of CREMA….

YOUR BREAKFAST CROISSANT IN FRONT OF ME IS THE BEST IN THE CITY MAN?! It’s jammed with ham and lovely Brie cheese and an egg?! It’s light and fluffy and served toasted hot!

DUDE OMG MAN

….that 5km walk is more like a 15km walk now lol much love Chef Duran

Unfortunately they've recently changed up their sandwiches and it's been a noticeable downgrade. I will keep my beloved Montreal in my dreams.

I used to really like Café Crema in West Vancouver, but the ice cream I tried this time was a big letdown. It was watery, not creamy at all, and tasted more like a sorbet made with water instead of milk. It was so bland that I couldn’t even finish half of it, which has never happened to me with ice cream. They’ve had great desserts in the past, but I won’t be going back there for ice cream again.

I only used the café section and didn’t try the restaurant side, and these two areas are completely separate.
As for the coffee, unfortunately I didn’t like it — the taste was a bit sour for me and not what I expected.
That being said, the staff were friendly and their service was good.

However, the environment is not suitable for a quiet conversation or a relaxed coffee date. The place was quite crowded, not very comfortable, and it was difficult to find proper seating. Most likely you’ll end up sitting near the counter. If you’re looking for a calm place to enjoy your coffee and talk comfortably, this isn’t the right choice.

The prices were average, and the location was good, but overall, for a relaxed two-person coffee and conversation, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Rude service, cold espresso. Owner needs to control how their crew treats customers. Being busy is not a reason to be rude or grumpy..

It used to be good quality coffee

They don’t take care of cleanliness like they used to be

Maybe the ownership or management have changed

If you like standing in lines and overpaying for coffee, this is the place for you! Incredibly slow and unenthusiastic service, long lines, expensive and overrated coffee. The pizza is fantastic though, and the location is great. When my friend goes in to grab a coffee I joke that I’ll see her in 30 minutes because that’s how long it usually takes to get a coffee at Crema.
