West Van needed a spot like this for the better part of 25 years. It's tight and cozy, music is every tune you love to hear...., conversations are everywhere, service is warm and consistent, all employees are knowledgable, Italian menu bistro style and just killer- have tried every single item except the Duck. (that goes for the pizza too- mushroom/ arugula is my fav! ) New mgmt started about 6 weeks ago and although a bumpy first couple days - I would say things are right back...read full review
Decent food and great service, but minor oddity in that the layout of the place is strangely compressed. Could come across as cozy or claustrophobic, depending on your tastes in fine dining.

This is a fantastic restaurant. Friday night-prompt service, remarkably good food, excellent pacing with our food. Those of us who have spent time in the industry recognize a restaurant that really is doing it well. This restaurant is doing it well. I can't think of a single complaint. Even prices were appropriate for level of quality and service.
