The best smooth bowls!
Such a lovely place, the tall girl ( I didn’t get the chance to grab her name) was super friendly and helped with any questions we had , would definitely recommend coming here . Brass monkey bowl was great!

Work out alot? Have digestive problems? Want a healthier option? Wanna give your body a break from eating take out alot? I needed a break from eating out alot. I wanted something raw and wholesome. I've always drove by this place and thought it was a fish shack style place with fried fish and chips. But it's not.
I decided to go on a food adventure with my friend. When we arrived at 9am on a Saturday, this place was bumpin busy. In fact, each time I drove by its always busy. This is the only place I know that opens so early in the morning. It's no wonder why it does so well.
I decided to get the myan acai bowl. My girlfriend chose the nalu acai bowl. Both takes time to make and the wait is worth it. Both bowls looked similar. So how did they taste? Amazing. Chewy texture of the gogi berries, the crunch of granola, hint of bee pollen, with fresh bananas and strawberries. No fillers, no ice, no water, no added sugar. It's very very healthy. This is not for everyone especially on a cold morning. I was ok but my friend was cold that morning lol. I also ordered 2 cold pressed juices as well 😆.
I got the beet mary. Very very nice. If you didn't know beets are very good for your intestines, it's very medicinal in the digestive tract. My shivering friend chose the green machine. It's very refreshing!
Price point is on the high side. Yes we can make these at home, but it's always nice to have a healthier option out sometimes, especially when we're out walking with our dogs by the beach on Ambleside.
They also have raw treats, kombucha on tap, and a selection of grab and go items. Their take out bowls and drink cups are bio degradable too!
Overall, they also have breakfast sandwiches there, I'll try the buckwheat breakfast sandwich next time. Their store is connected with a coffee shop too.

I love the Anchor Eatery, I’ve been coming here for a while now and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious and they keep it interesting by adding new things to their menu and having daily specials. Totally recommend.

“It’s a chill place,” said the person taking our order. My partner and I had come from the park, and saw a place that seemed healthy, fresh fruits and the like… it was closed unfortunately. A person passing by, almost like some sort of secret health agent, said, “there is another place.” As though we were privy to an underlying world, somehow part of something greater. They guided us to the Anchor Eatery, we approached from the back, a sign saying “Yes you can use this door!” And inside, a host of foods that seemingly were both exactly what we wanted but also unexpected. A beautiful porch, with friendly birds birdin’ around. Smiles, and a sense of a day of good decisions, allowing the world take us to new places and instill a sense of hope. A chill place for sure…
I loveeee the breakfast wraps and green juices. Food & drink is incredible, just very expensive.
Very friendly staff, beautiful chill ambiance. King Kong smoothie was really good, tofu scramble wrap was ok, not a lot of vegan breakfast options in west/northvan.

Amazing food prepared by really nice people who were extremely helpful in helping our family navigate the menu.
Food was decent, but paid $60 for 2 smoothies and 2 breakfast wraps. Customer service was not great.

Your online menu doesn’t match your store menu so when you order you think you are getting one thing and the. Get something totally different. I ordered the Humana which online has no coco anything and in store they add coco to the açai and then coco nibs to the top. For someone who has serious health issues this is unacceptable and beyond frustrating. You are wasting my time and could have caused me to be very sick. Update your online menu or do not have one.

The person working at the front was very nice and helpful. My qualm is that The owner has decided to not give customers straws for smoothies. Not sure why this decision was made. Drinking a to go smoothie without a straw is not ideal. Step your game up!
Part 2 to reply to owner response:
Using a plastic sippy lid is worse for the environment than offering a compostable straw. It is a bad experience trying to drink a thick smoothie through a tiny sippy lid and not realistic. If you want to cut down on single use plastic then you should offer a compostable CPLA lid and a compostable straw. Every other smoothie shop has compostable straws, why can’t you?
Very friendly staff and delicious and healthy acai bowls :-)
I am very satisfied as the quantity is large and the price is reasonable.
I will visit again.
Thank you ??
