The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Park Royal

I am a regular Keg customer. Last I had the whole lobster ( delicious) and my friend had the filet mignon. Both dinners were excellent.

Waiter was uneven. Rarely stopped by, when did was very intrusive. At one point asked us what language we were speaking. We were speaking Canadian English.

Our waiter was wonderful. We were there with my elderly parents and he handled everything with such care and attention.

A very enjoyable Happy Hour experience. We had a delicious prime rib slider along with melted Brie & croustini. Complimentary warm fresh bread with delicious savoury butter. A pleasant time before attending a concert.

Always a consistent good choice for a nice meal, conversation easy with noise level, great service and quality food. Perfect place for dinner & a movie. We asked to share our food & they split it for us perfectly without us even asking. That's service!

I went with a friend for dinner in west van keg on Saturday June 21st.
We were offered a seat on the patio and I can’t tell you enough how disappointed I was, when I saw how dirty the table was. Not only the table was not cleaned that night, I believe it wasn’t cleaned up properly for a long time! The seat was dirty with food particles! I did take a picture of the table and a video!! With the price keg charged they should offer the best ambiance and at least clean table.
Service was amazing and I loved our server though

Showed up at 4pm on Sunday and was told “there were no tables available” and had to sit at the bar, even though tables sat open the entire time we were there. Took 10 mins for someone to greet and take our order, we also ordered an appetizer that never showed up. My partner had to send back his steak because it was overdone, even though cooking steaks is the entire shtick. We’ve tried to call over 10 times to talk to a manager but their phones pick up, and then we get hung up on a few seconds later. When we left I saw SIX people standing at the host stand chatting and doing nothing so I’m not sure who isn’t picking up. We used a gift card and honestly feel like it was such a waste. We’re both servers and understand whoopsies, but it was 4pm on a Sunday with no one in the place. Kind of brutal. Definitely won’t be coming back. Would love for some follow up to expand on problems and receive some sort of compensation if possible. That level of service was just not acceptable.

Server was good and the food was really good and again sever was on point than k you Cassidy hope I got that right and we got a cake for my ealry bday again thank you for making that happen much appreciated 😃💯👍🎂

Love the atmosphere here. Modern and subtle. Food is consistent and so is service.

Arrived to a wall of five hostesses which somehow meant that it took twice as long to be seated than you would expect when you’re the only person at the station - zero communication between them that left us wondering what was happening. The hostess who finally did seat us was rude and perfunctory. Clearly she had skipped the portion of training about customer service.

The server we did get was both friendly and competent, and then disappeared due to what we realized later was an understaffing situation- not a good position to be in on a Friday night - the table we were seated at was right by a discarded stack of propane tanks for the outdoor heaters, which gave the patio a “fraternity house after a bbq” ambience.

Food was fine, but the Keg’s ongoing commitment to their seasonal vegetable medley is confusing and dispiriting. Has anyone ever really said “green beans AND beets? Yes please!”

As far as a Keg goes, we’ll be giving this one a wide berth from now on.

It's not as good as it used to be.

Yikes man just yikes the “medium rare” was practically raw all sides are minuscule and my god is the customer service poor don’t even think you’ll be taken care of by any of the staff especially front of house

we had a birthday dinner tonight...the happy hour snacks were excellent...my wife and daughter had the pistachio salmon and I had the prime rib sandwich which were great .....we had very good service from our server Miles.....great evening.....we'll be back. Thanks
