My waitress took my butter knife, just to bring a clean one. I was looking forward to the butter i had on my knife.

I have had a decent dinner here in the past so I recommended my family to eat here on New Years. So many things were just bad and cheap. To begin with, nobody really enjoyed their food. My brisket was flavorless. I always rate a good restaurant by their bread. The bread here is horrible and they charge a good premium for it. We are Mexicans (or aspiring Mexicans) and asked for chile peppers. As everyone knows Mexicans can't eat without chile. They brought us chile flakes as if we were eating 5$ pizzas at Fresh Slice. This wouldn't have been the end of the world if the food wasn't so bad. The chiles (real green or red chiles might have saved it). So I'm putting horrible tobasco sauce on my 40$ flavorless Brisket to make it taste like something. Then you go to the bathroom and they don't even have paper towels. I feel like when 5 people are dining for just under 300$, you can afford to have real paper towels in the washroom. Overall, wouldn't come back, ever.

Had a great dinner. Spicy marg was perfect. Mussels delicious. Prawn n scallops fresh. Schnitzel really good. All our dishes were great. V our waitress was so nice. Everything came right when it should. I think they should renovate a bit but other than that it was excellent.

We came during a busy ski week on a Saturday night and did not have reservations but lucked out with timing and were seated immediately. Our server, Nicole, was upbeat and friendly. Everything from drinks to dessert came out in a very reasonable amount of time. I'm trying to decide what dish was my favorite. My salmon was delicious but I loved my daughter's pasta with cream sauce and red peppers and my husband's schnitzel. This was a great restaurant choice! (They get 6 stars if they call us tomorrow and tell us they found our lost airpod case!) 😉

My family and I chose to dine at 21 Steps for my birthday after seeing its strong 4.4 star rating on Google and reading numerous reviews praising the exceptional service and claiming it to be one of the best meals in Whistler. It was also described as kid friendly, which led us to choose it over Il Caminetto since we were dining with two young children.

When making the reservation, my sister noted that we were celebrating our birthday and requested high chairs or booster seats. Unfortunately, upon arrival, none were prepared and we had to request them again. Aside from offering a kids menu, we did not find the restaurant particularly kid friendly, which was disappointing given how often this is highlighted in reviews.

Our server appeared extremely busy, which we understood as it was the week before Christmas, but the service felt impersonal. There was no acknowledgment of the birthday celebration, nor were we asked about the occasion despite it being clearly noted in the reservation. Service was also slower than expected, and while we were understanding of how busy it was, the delays made dining with two young children challenging. It took quite some time for our orders to be taken and for the food to arrive.

When our meals were served, we were disappointed to find that the lamb and braised short ribs, both described as standout dishes, were very dry. Later in the meal, my husband reminded the server that it was my sister’s and my birthday and requested dessert. While desserts were brought out, we were surprised to see that they were fully charged on the final bill.

Overall, we were extremely disappointed, especially given the glowing reviews and reputation for amazing service. Our special requests, including birthday acknowledgment and prepared high chairs or booster seats, were not accommodated despite being communicated in advance. With the expectations set by the reviews, we had hoped for a much better experience and left wishing we had chosen to dine elsewhere for such a special occasion.

Looking for a place in Whistler Village following a day of adventure, read good reviews on this place and decided to give it a try - was not disappointed! The 3-course dinner was great value for money and we ordered a few sets of that along with some appetizers. The portions are hearty but not overly large. We had bacon-wrapped beef fillets, the 21 salad, the Cajun corn fritters, buttermilk fried chicken, pork chop and sirloin. Every dish was well-prepared and tasty. There are a number of high end restaurants in the area that we considered and we’re glad we picked this place. We don’t know if it’ll be worthwhile to pay 3X as much for food that won’t be much better.

Amazing food and service! English Mike was attentive and had wonderful suggestions based on what we said we liked. Red Thai Curry mussels, Garlic chili prawns, wrapped bacon filets, and buttermilk fried chicken appies were so flavorful! Will definitely return and recommend.

My wife and I had dinner last night and it was outstanding! We each ordered the fall special which is 43 dollars each for appetizer, entree and desert. The mussels appetizer in white wine sauce were superb, the server gave us fresh baked bread to dip in the wine sauce! The braised boneless short rib entree melted in your mouth. It was so tender no need for a knife to cut it. A beautiful restaurant with a relaxing chill vibe. We will be back again! Thank you for a memorable night out.

Just enjoyed a 3 course meal here tonight and it was FANTASTIC. The fried chicken and ginger pork appies were top notch. I try to stop here every visit to Whistler, it has become a staple on our trips. The service was impeccable, servers were seamlessly topping up our water glasses and clearing dishes stealthy. The portions for the 3 course meal and pricing was very generous. I recommend visiting in the off season as there are many offers around the town!

21 steps really exceeded expectations tonight. We had 9 dishes through the prix fixe menu and they were all excellent. This place is a bit under the radar but has been here for so long because it is always solid. Tonight it was more. Mostly because Brenna is so awesome, but also the quality and value of the food is always on point. If you’re looking for a warm friendly low key place in Whistler, this is it.
