One of my favourite places to be in Whistler đ€ The Mallard Lounge is a classic staple you canât miss. Francis took such great care of us and truly elevated the experienceâalong with the cozy atmosphere, amazing food, drinks, and live music (one of my favs). We were lucky enough to sit in his section twice, and his kindness and attentiveness made each visit even better.

Our server was absolutely amazing! She was welcoming and made us feel completely at home from the moment we sat down. She really knew the menu inside and out and gave great recommendations. Everything she did seemed effortless, and you could tell she's a total pro. Blair turned a nice dinner into a really special experience. We had the grilled cheese and the burger, perfect for a rainy night. The live music was also top notch! I think his name was Steve.Thank you for the fantastic service and evening.

My husband and I did the Cocktail Masterclass at the Mallard Lounge and had a great experience with Taylor. She was very knowledgeable and engaging and made great cocktails! The class felt like a great value for the money..we enjoyed several delicious cocktails as well as multiple snacks - our favorite was the salt and pepper wings. Would highly recommend! Generally, everything about their property ( a short walk away) was better than where we stayed for 5 nites . So, when we book our Whistler return visit, it will be to this property.

What a fantastic restaurant. The staff is as amazing as the warmth of the setting. The food options are plentiful and each one is delicious. The nachos are in a league of their own!!! If any of the following servers are available, be sure to ask for one to take care of your table. You wonât be disappointed - Isami, Rachel, Leann, Addy, or Fredrique. They are so personable and efficient. They are led by a delightful manager named Brandi, who not only observes the operations but will roll up her sleeves and pitch in when needed. Kudos to the entire team for such a well-run establishment.
We love coming to the Fairmont Lounge for drinks â itâs always such a special experience. My husband always orders the Castaway Old Fashioned, and part of the fun is the incredible presentation with fire and smoke. Itâs such a signature moment that we look forward to every time.
This visit, however, was a little different. Our server did the presentation on the tray instead of at our table, and she seemed to be rushing through it. Unfortunately, we didnât get a chance to capture it on video like we usually do, which was disappointing.
That being said, the drink itself was excellent as always, and we still really enjoy the atmosphere and overall experience. We just hope that next time, the presentation can be done tableside again, as it really adds to the magic.

We arrived at Blackcomb late Thursday night and the mallard lounge was the only place serving food after 9 so we thought we'd 'treat ourselves here' having had good experiences at Fairmonts before rather than walk into the village. I had the red carbonara and my hubby had fish and chips. The carbonara was very average with the bacon bits being the best bit. The chips were the type that are crispy on the outside and air on the inside - I'm sure there's much better frozen fries out there! We weren't given any water with our meal / alcohol either almost felt like they were kinda waiting to close up. We do appreciate it was a late night menu but pretty disappointing for a Fairmont nonetheless so wouldn't rush back at that time of day. Ambience and setting is nice though.
