The class felt like a great value for the money..we enjoyed several delicious cocktails as well as multiple snacks - our favorite was the salt and pepper wings. Would highly recommend! What a fantastic restaurant. The staff is as amazing as the warmth of the setting. The food options are plentiful and each one is delicious. The nachos are in a league of their own!!! If any of the following servers are available, be sure to ask for one to take care of your table. You won’t be disappointed - Isami, Rachel, Leann, Addy, or Fredrique. They are so personable and efficient. They are led by a delightful manager named Brandi, who not only observes the operations but will roll up her sleeves and pitch in when needed. Kudos to the entire team for such a well-run establishment.

We love coming to the Fairmont Lounge for drinks – it’s always such a special experience. My husband always orders the Castaway Old Fashioned, and part of the fun is the incredible presentation with fire and smoke. It’s such a signature moment that we look forward to every time.
This visit, however, was a little different. Our server did the presentation on the tray instead of at our table, and she seemed to be rushing through it. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to capture it on video like we usually do, which was disappointing.
That being said, the drink itself was excellent as always, and we still really enjoy the atmosphere and overall experience. We just hope that next time, the presentation can be done tableside again, as it really adds to the magic.

We arrived at Blackcomb late Thursday night and the mallard lounge was the only place serving food after 9 so we thought we'd 'treat ourselves here' having had good experiences at Fairmonts before rather than walk into the village. I had the red carbonara and my hubby had fish and chips. The carbonara was very average with the bacon bits being the best bit. The chips were the type that are crispy on the outside and air on the inside - I'm sure there's much better frozen fries out there! We weren't given any water with our meal / alcohol either almost felt like they were kinda waiting to close up. We do appreciate it was a late night menu but pretty disappointing for a Fairmont nonetheless so wouldn't rush back at that time of day. Ambience and setting is nice though.

We came here for drinks and dessert to save our anniversary date night after a dissappointing dinner experience somewhere else. Our first server (she was training, didnt catch her name) gave us excellent recommendations, then Liz provided amazing service, was so kind and lovely to chat too. The vegan dessert was delicious and drinks and ambience were amazing! Thank you for helping us save our anniversary date night we love this place and had the best time ❤️

A beautiful lounge seated in/ near the lobby of the fairmont hotel. We walked in and it was self seating so we sat right in front of the musician.
The live music (5-7 + 8-11) is honestly amazing and adds to the ambience without being too loud or overwhelming :) Some ver nice covers too. Props to the musician!!

We absolutely loved our time at The Mallard Lounge at Fairmont Chateau Whistler—it quickly became our go-to spot during our stay. The setting is beautiful, the service is warm and attentive, and the live music every night adds the perfect touch of atmosphere.
The food was consistently outstanding. We especially loved the burger, truffle fries, oysters, charcuterie, and the wood-fired pizzas. Everything was so good, we ended up dining there four times during our week-long stay!
A special shoutout to Freddie, one of the wonderful servers who made our visits even more enjoyable. She’s incredibly sweet, provided excellent service, and gave us some great local recommendations and insider tips.
And the cocktails? Absolutely top-notch. The Signature Gin & Tonic wasn’t just the best G&T I’ve ever had—it might be one of the best cocktails I’ve had, period.
Thank you to the entire Mallard Lounge team for making our time in Whistler so memorable. We can’t wait to return!

Food is ok. I would say lower value than Cactus Club, but similar quality. Definitely not worth the spend. The setting is beautiful though and the staff is lovely. They sometimes have live music which is a nice bonus. I only recommend coming here if you’re staying at the hotel and you’re too lazy to go into the city.
