Had the duck confit spring rolls and the Sakura pork. Enjoyed the spring rolls but wasn't a fan of the sauce that came with it. Everything in the Sakura pork dish was amazing

Our waiter was so impressive with his knowledge and all-around friendly; his recommendations for dishes and wine made our meal the best experience yet in Whistler!! We loved the duck spring rolls, pork special entree dish, and peanut butter bomb for dessert. It was an intimate and special dinner together. Thank you to our waiter and the staff for such a wonderful experience!

The food, atmosphere and service are all fantastic. I could eat the duck confit spring rolls in currant sauce every day. Small space, so make a reservation!

Red Door Bistro was one of the top 5 best dining experiences in my life (and I’m 50 years old)! Every dish was perfectly prepared with both comforting and unique flavors. Portions are generous. Service is extraordinary.

Be aware of food poisoning.
Our family had dinner at the restaurant on Aug 29.
The dinner was pleasant, but unfortunately 4 out of 5 of my family members were sick afterward. My daughter didn’t order for and shared a bit of my plate only, she is the only one who escaped the unfortunate event.
My husband ordered pork chop, my father seafood stew, my son ordered steak and caesar salad. The four of us shared a bit of my husband’s and my father's plate and the salad. Soon we were all vomiting and had diarrhea. We have to stop the car at road side to let my son vomit on the way back home. My father has been sick for almost one week.
This is one very rare experience with these level of restaurants. We were very disappointed and certainly would not recommend this restaurant.

I honestly don’t understand the hype around this place. My husband and I have had excellent dining experiences at other restaurants in Whistler that are in the same price range, but this place was just… mediocre at best.

We started with duck spring rolls, which oddly tasted like pork with ketchup. The T-bone steak, their special, was unremarkable, and the mashed potatoes lacked flavor. I had the ricotta gnudi, which was a complete miss—the texture was off, and the overpowering tomato sauce tasted like it came straight from a can. Even the crème brûlée, which was decent, had an uneven sugar layer that made it tough to enjoy.

The ambiance didn’t help either—too noisy, with people packed too close together and no balance between the music and the setting.

Honestly, if this place charged 50% less, it would be an okay spot for lunch, but at these prices, it doesn’t live up to the hype. So disappointed.

The food and general attention to detail make this tiny and hard place to book fab although it is $$$$. Very good if small wine list, casual service but attentive, personal and excellent food. Another place that I wish had a no phones policy given how close the tables are and lights are jarring. The hype here is real. Staff are great. Real people serving real (good) food.

Originally had reservations at Il Caminetto, but after reviewing both menus online, we decided to cancel and go to the Red Door Bistro. We knew both were going to be on the expensive side, but it was our anniversary and this was a treat. In the end we chose the Red Door because it had a more creative menu that we were were excited to try. Food was delicious, had the beef carpaccio and the beet tartare and the ricotta gnudi and bouillabaisse. For dessert we had truffle fries and creme brule (unconventional but delicious). Server was wonderful, wouldn't change a thing. Exceptionally glad with our decision.

Vegetarian options: Not a lot of vegetarian options, but what they have is delicious.

Parking: There is free parking across from the restaurant. The lot adjacent to it appears to be reserved.

An absolute gem of a restaurant - we're so happy we booked a table here for our last night in Whistler!

First off, the food was all amazing. The appetizers were perfectly balanced and very unique. We had the calamari and the cambozola & mushrooms, which were both delicious. For mains we had the short rib and bouillabaisse. The short rib was fall-apart tender and the seafood in the bouillabaisse was cooked perfectly. The key lime parfait was a perfect end to the meal.

Only minor downside is that my virgin mojito was a bit weak (definitely could've been muddled more), but they have an expensive wine menu that more than makes up for it.

The restaurant is small and cosy. In the summers most diners prefer to sit on the patio to enjoy the breeze but they also have indoor seating for the winter. A reservation is recommended due to the size of the restaurant. The staff are friendly and very helpful with menu recommendations.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough if you're in the area!
