The takoyaki was the best (not the beef teriyaki), good price and very delicious. The poke bowl were also the best, we got to excited that forgot to take pictures. Very good service and a very good choice for eating. I very recommend this place for eating.

Too much salt in Ramen soup, and food is average quality. However, it’s nice and convenient to have hot noodles here after skiing

We (family of four) came for dinner tonight and were pleasantly surprised with all the choices, and tastes we got. Excellent place and very friendly service. Much appreciated.

Average if you think of a typical over the top Japanese restaurant. Ramen broth is solid but the Chasu is small. Noodle is fine. I think it's a great option on the creekside for a bowl after a day of skiing.

This place is perfect for a warm meal before hitting the road back to Vancouver. Good food for a reasonable price. Ramen was chefs kiss! Will be back for sure. Not a lot of seating though so you may have to sit with strangers or take it to go?

Stopped by Samurai Bowl today for lunch. I was shocked to see just how busy they get right when the doors open, especially on a Monday! The whole restaurant was full within minutes. With that being said, the single cashier got through the line very quickly. In addition, we got our food quite fast. There’s a decent amount of seating indoors too. The service was very impressive and the lady working was very kind.

My husband and I tried a good portion of the menu, I’ll list everything and my thoughts below:

* Spicy Agedashi Tofu - very good. We loved the depth of flavor in the sauce which was tangy and sweet.

* Veggie Gyoza - these were decent. I think they’d be better pan fried.

* Red KFC (1/2 order) - these boneless wings were very good. I loved how crunchy they were and the sauce was great. I could be wrong, but I think it’s the same sauce as the spicy agedashi, so I wouldn’t recommend ordering both like we did.

* Vegan Tofu Ramen - my husband said it was THE best vegan ramen he’s ever tried!

* Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen w/ chashu pork - I really enjoyed my ramen. The broth was delicious and the noodles were tasty. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the added pork.

One thing I would recommend, the Red KFC wings weren’t very hot coming out and I think it’s because they pour a cold sauce over the chicken. If that’s the case, I’d recommend heating the sauce to ensure the wings are served hot. Overall, it was a great spot to warm up on the cold winter day!

We got the donburi bowl and it was lacking flavour/seasoning. Prices were great though!

How is this place 4.5?

I’ve had better Japanese food that’s rated lower.

Lastly, why is the edamame COLD? I’m not talking about it having gotten cold. It was straight-from-the-fridge cold. I’ve never been so disappointed and dumbfounded. And no, I did eat it right after getting it.

Rest of the food was pretty mid.

One of the most affordable lunch spots I’ve been to in Whistler. Opted for their chicken donburi which was served with teriyaki chicken, rice, mixed greens and carrots. Satisfied my cravings for something Asian and filling and was only about $13-14 after tip! They also have self serve free hot tea and water which is a plus! And the wait wasn’t long.

I even got my bf a Japanese beef curry to go and he finished it and enjoyed it :) the girl helping me was also really kind and everyone in the kitchen looked hardworking to ensure meals were being prepared in a timely manner!

So yum! Got the chicken wraps to go and they were ready within 5 minutes. Probably the only place in whistler that’s affordable and decent food. Good work guys :)
