The food and service at the property are exceptional—staff members are friendly, attentive, and go out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. One of the standout perks is the complimentary use of bikes and boats, which adds tremendous value.
While the room feels quite luxurious, one major drawback is the layout of the 2-bedroom loft. There is no door for the bottom suite, which surprised us. I believe there should be at least some sort of blind or enclosure to provide a bit of privacy.
The food was good, but service was incredibly slow especially considering the restaurant was basically empty. Long wait to order, long wait to receive juice and coffee. 15 mins after getting drinks they finally took our food order. Food took ages. Even waited for ages for the card machine after getting the bill!
Adorable lakeside restaurant with delicious food, great service and a very cool vibe.
I went to the Den with my two kids for an Easter brunch. The buffet was amazing with items such as salmon, roasted cauliflower and lots salad in addition to the more typical breakfast items. The service was super friendly and the price was really reasonable comparing to some of the other high-end hotels in Whistler which had a brunch that was twice the price. She also only charged me for one child as my toddler didn’t eat a ton.
The best part was that the hotel had an Easter egg scavenger hunt, and we were able to participate as restaurant guests, and the prize pack was above and beyond with little toys, stickers and candy that my kids loved. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot that overlooks the lake, with free parking right out front. We will definitely make our way back to this hotel and restaurant again.
Blown away by their spring tasting menu! Vegan options were fantastic as well. Everything was fresh and the flavour was exquisite!!
Tomas is absolutely awesome at his job! We went for a wine tasting, and although the scheduled time had already passed, Cam was still able to open the offer — and Tomas took the time to walk us through everything with such clarity and enthusiasm. The experience was fantastic from start to finish. Tomas made it not only informative but also super enjoyable. Highly recommend him and this experience — it was truly awesome!
A Perfect Dining Experience at Nota Lake Lodge
From the moment we walked into the dining area at Nota Lake Lodge, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance was serene and inviting, with warm lighting and breathtaking views of the lake—an ideal setting that made the evening feel both intimate and luxurious.
The service was flawless. Every staff member we interacted with was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had a memorable experience. Our server struck the perfect balance between being professional and personable, making us feel right at home.
As for the kitchen—truly outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can tell the chefs pour both creativity and care into every plate. From appetizers to dessert, everything was perfectly cooked and thoughtfully curated.
Dining at Nota Lake Lodge was more than just a meal—it was an experience. I can’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely be returning.
Some dishes are excellent - Wagyu Beef Tartare starter and Duck main - some leave a lot to be desired - Salmon main (extremely small portion for $38, bad presentation and strange mix of lacklustre flavours) and Lava Cake dessert. The service was slow, inattentive, and not particularly friendly. We weren’t asked a single time how any of our courses were or how our evening was on presentation of the bill. Every interaction with the server felt rushed even though the place was only 1/3 full. Would expect consistently excellent food and much better service for the price you pay.
Hit and miss with this place, we’ve been four times and two were good and two were poor. Yesterday’s service was slow, dinner was cold, then we were offered a complimentary dessert for the inconvenience then realized afterwards we should have been offered dessert anyways, it’s this month’s special with the purchase of two entrees. So we’ll skip The Den in the future, there are too many other good restaurants here in Whistler
I do not recommend. Our party of 5 had reservations for 5:00 pm and so were the first in for dinner service. I was put off immediately by strawberries on the floor under the table. Our server was awkward and inexperienced and slow. During service she used a wet kitchen dishcloth to wipe (not needed) the table, pushing water glasses with the cloth. Seated directly across from the kitchen we saw both our appetizers and main course waiting for pickup. The octopus could not be chewed, the eggplant was so over smoked that it was inedible, and the tomato salad was just okay and clumsy. Two guests had the tenderloin that was cold and appeared minuscule beside three undercooked fingerling potatoes topped with bacon bits. We just wanted to get out of there. The server did not charge us for the eggplant. It is reasonable to expect substantially better for the price. I had hoped to treat my guests to a lovely Saturday evening out and was sorely disappointed.

Fantastic dinner! Great service & everything we ate was absolutely delicious. My fiance and I came here right after getting engaged - I would highly recommend for a nice event.
We were a little disappointed. Christmas day supper. We arrived to be told that we were not in the den, as booked, but in the ball room. We were 4, ushered to a table for 8 and told we may be joined by 4 others later. We moved to a table for 4. The atmosphere was non-existent. We were then told that the entertainment would start soon. We ate the meal in record time and fled. The staff were helpful, but it was far from what we expected. The buffet was also fine but it all felt like a Sunday supper after evensong at a minor prep school.
Wonderful service, great atmosphere. We were able to leave our dog in the lobby whi h was a real perk. The menu has several vegetarian and gluten free options and the food was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend the salmon, beet salad and brussel sprouts. The Den has had several iterations but clearly have landed on a winner. We will be back.
First visit in a few years. Was blown away by the whole experience! The room felt cozy, yet stylish and welcoming. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was exceptional, we ate so many tasty plates - Favourite? It’s hard to say .. mussels were fabulous the flavour amazing!! The Wagu tartar was beautiful. The Squash steak - layered with flavours, everyone needs to try that!!
Thank you for an exceptional evening with my family.
Everything was lovely, not overly expensive (comparatively) , food was standard fare, service was great and friendly.
