We had the loveliest meal. Highly recommend the salmon with crispy brussel sprouts (who knew brussel sprouts could be delicious?!!) + mash. And the rum pear dessert was perfection - a must try. But the most absolutely fun thing was the lava cake. Like all chocolate lovers, I've had them before, but this... just...wow! Our server was lovely, too. Will happily come again for more creative, delicious food!

I am reluctant to write bad reviews, but this possibly was the worst dining experience I have ever had. The food was terrible. I ordered the 3 course tasting menu. The main was particularly awful and confusing at best - fusion gone wrong! Dessert came with a hair in it. Service was subpar.

Great experience tonight at The Den. A relaxed smart casual vibe. This is April 2024. We were told there is a new chef and a changed menu. Really appreciated the good vegan options on the menu - great place for vegans and vegetarians. However, there is something for everyone and my brother really enjoyed his ribeye. As expected local wine by the glass is available and we enjoyed the cocktail menu as well. Enriq gave lovely relaxed, friendly service. We didn’t feel rushed, and it was a nice evening. On arrival, the bar had live music with a singer and his guitar, which was nice to listen to before we sat down to dinner. Would recommend. Nice change of scene from the village.P.S as a vegan I really love a proper dessert option - not just the sorbet!Dietary restrictions: Good vegan options

Fantastic place for dinner!! We had such a special time. Excellent service, beautiful setting and varied menu with amazing vegan options including deliciously cooked agadashi tofu, kale, beets carpaccio and other beautifully prepared vegetables and deserts! Great cocktails and wine list too! Thank you Enrique for looking after us. We will be back!

Our stay at Nita Lake Lodge was elevated by the decision to opt for the breakfast-included option. From the moment we stepped into the gorgeous dining room, we were met with attentive staff, delectable food, and breathtaking views of the lake, making every morning a memorable and relaxing one.The convenience of having breakfast right downstairs from our room, coupled with the serene vista, made for an unbeatable start to our days. During our visits between 7:00 and 8:30 each morning, we found the dining area pleasantly uncrowded, allowing us to savor our meals in peace. Our daily order included freshly brewed drip coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. The food, in particular, left a lasting impression—with generous portions that often left us unable to finish. We indulged in a variety of dishes. From the savory Prosciutto Cotto Rosemary Ham and Fried Sage Eggs Benedict to the decadent Caramelized Banana and Nutella French Toast, every dish exceeded our expectations. Other highlights included the Mushroom Omelette, Vegan Sausage and Tofu Scramble, Blueberry Pancakes, and the signature Nita Lake Breakfast.Personal favorites were the French Toast and the Vegan Scramble, but every dish was a symphony. The value for both the food and service was exceptional. While we did not sample the dinner fare, our breakfast experiences alone have left us eagerly anticipating our next visit to Nita Lake Lodge.

Have never put the effort into leaving a bad review for a restaurant before, but genuinely am in shock at how awful the service was. Came here for a group celebration, and waited over 2.5 hours before receiving any of the food we ordered. We are a group of hospitality workers, therefor genuinely a super easy-going group; but it reaches a stage where there needs to be some acknowledgment or presence of a manager or someone to help the situation when the wait time for food reaches that length with 0 communication with tables. Once we finally got our food, 2 people in our party waited an additional 20 minutes to get their meals, and after we’d all finished eating our freezing cold food, our appetizers we’d ordered hours ago then showed up. again with 0 acknowledgment. When it finally came time to get our bills, conveniently, “their wifi crashed”, and there was no other option than doing one bill for the whole table, (incredible how the debit machine worked with no wifi) which honestly wouldn’t have been a big deal if the rest of the night hadn’t been so atrocious. Again, have never left a bad review for a restaurant in my life, but am truly just shocked at how badly the mark was missed

Honestly the worst dining experience I have ever had in Canada. Arrived for a dinner reservation at 7:30pm, I was able to get one glass of wine while my group waited over 3 hours for our food to arrive. For a group of 11, each dish arrived 15 minutes apart. By the time I received my own dish the rest of my group had finished their meals. The wait (3hrs) for the food wouldn’t have been so bad if I was able to get more than one drink to pass the time but sadly this was not the case.If you are not planning on eating for the night… this is the place to be.Potential for a great dinner was there but Nita Lake did not deliver.

We came on a busy night as a group of 10. The service (Thank-you Sarah) was awesome, the food was spectacular. As a table we ordered The Family Style set dinner. Wow! Each of the courses was delicious. Highly recommend!! Will be back!

Originally this was going to be a negative review. We had our valentines dinner at The Den and while the food was delicious the service was terrible. We had to flag down a waiter to receive our beverage and once we received our main course never saw our server again. After finishing eating and waiting 30 minutes for someone to clear our plates we ended up flagging down the food and beverage manage to request our dessert to go and our bill. Never were we asked how we enjoyed our meal or given any apology for our long wait. The next morning we were asked by the lovely hostess Andrea how our meal was last night. We told her about the poor service and she took care of everything for us - apologized and had the dinner charges reversed! That one act of excellent customer service reverses our negative experience and changes our one star service rating to a five star for this hotel!

We were very disappointed after our dinner at the Den at Nita Lake. The food was bland, barely hot. Definitely not worth the money.

This restaurant has a plant-forward menu, which is great for me (a vegan) and my brother-in-law (vegetarian). We've come a number of times, and typically had a lovely experience. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed by our visit this past Friday, which is why I'm giving 4 stars. The "tuna salad" is marked vegan on the menu -- when I asked if there was a vegan option available, I was told they just take off the tuna (underwhelming). The steak is listed with no sides, so when my mother ordered it, she assumed it came with nothing and ordered some dishes from the "sides" section of the menu. Our server didn't say anything, and the steak arrived on top of a bed of potatoes with some broccolini, which she had no idea she was going to get. She had ordered a full side of broccolini that we didn't even touch and just took home. Positive - the "smalls" are actually pretty big portions, so be cautious not to fill up on them! Two of my family members got the tomato burrata tart, and they probably could've just shared one. The soup of the day was a vegan parsnip and pear, which came in a pretty large bowl with two large pieces of focaccia on the side. Unfortunately, it was over-peppered. I could not really eat the soup by itself, but only by dipping the bread in it. I did not finish it. The smashed potatoes side is marked as vegan, so I asked if the aioli listed as part of it was vegan, and was told they just serve it without the aioli to make it vegan, which is misleading. The dessert was incredible. We got the vegan banana cream catalan and it was so light and flavorful and delicious. There was a LOT going on, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Based on just this experience, I would probably give 3 stars, but all the previous times were better, so I'm averaging at 4. We'll definitely be back, just hoping it's a bit better again.

Definitely expensive, but it was really worth it to go once on our trip. The 8oz tenderloin was absolutely spectacular, the mashed potatoes that went with it were great as well. The chicken was really tender and juicy, and paired with an amazing sauce. Also a big fan of the sauce that came with the broccolini. The risotto and the dessert were a little underwhelming (dessert was a chocolate lava cake with espresso), and the waitress recommended a great wine to pair with the meal. Overall, definitely recommend! Although it's definitely a hit to the wallet.
