What a lovely dinner! The food was so good. Everything was perfect. The tomatoes soup is a must, I usually never order soup but it was to die for. Ordered the rib eye with four sides and they were amazing. Our server Robert was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable of the whole menu and everything he recommended was 10/10. Definitely recommend this restaurant & we will be for sure coming back next stay at the Fairmont Whistler!

The food lacked flavor, and the dishes were plain and uninspiring, especially given the high price.

It was my husbands birthday, and we could not have had a more lovely time. We were seated by the fire place which instantly set the mood, the table assistant was super lovely and witty we quite enjoyed her conversation . The food was also very good, and so it should be to go with the pricing, I ordered the duck and the breast was cooked perfectly the leg was a wee bit salty but it paired well with the creamy kale, as well as the honey carrots. My husband ordered the catch of the day and was very pleased with the whole fish and pairing of beats and potatoes that came with it. All in all a great meal. We chose to not order desert, however the table assistant brought my husband a beautiful chocolate cake with raspberry coulis with raspberry sorbet, and fresh raspberries, and it was the bow on the present! Absolutely well rounded evening, very worth the cost of the meal, just quality of people ambiance and ingredients were perfect! We will definitely be back! We left with brilliant smiles on our faces! Thank you grill room for good memories.
Very overpriced and crab deficient crab cake starter. Excellent and beautifully cooked main course of Halibut, Salmon and sides. The roast potatoes and creamy kale were delicious. Desert of sticky date pudding had no dates and was not very moist. Crème brûlée was however, very good. Too formal for our taste so ambiance was lacking.
Great place for date night or occasion
Food was very well made. It was our best encounter on our anniversary trip to whistler
Knowledgeable and helpful staff. And the food is a definite culinary win

Booked for 50th birthday celebration. Table for 5. 730pm dinner reservation. Paul was a fabulous waiter. Very good at explaining the menu and offers for that evening. He was very tentative to the table and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Dinner was delicious and portions were appropriate. Great selection of wines and tasty cocktails. The atmosphere and decor is fabulous for a fine dining/classy evening out. Perfect for birthday or romantic evening.
Great evening with a great dinner. The tomahawk was cooked to perfection and the perfect size to share. Amazing mashed potatoes. Wasn't the biggest fan of the mushrooms. Super service! Thank you Maddie!
The service was very friendly and agreeable. The food was fine; however their signature soup was underwhelming but the steelhead for two was good and a lot of food. Disappointing that when we couldn't finish the steelhead and asked to take it to go with a dinner roll they charged $25, plus tax for ONE dinner roll!!

Our dinner was lovely sitting near the fire. We had salmon, burrata with heirloom tomatoes, and warm beets and feta. The server was quite attentive which is a nice plus. The bummer was how expensive the Oyster Bay NZ Sauvignon Blanc was. I can buy a bottle in the US for 10.99. They charged $90 CDN for the same item. I expect a 2x or 3x markup on wine because they have to pay for the building, staff, etc. I understand that. But adjusting for currency differences, this is 6x which felt like a rip off. It ruined my feeling for the dinner. It is a pretty environment though.
Unfortunately we were not impressed with our dinner and starter. The halibut was over cooked and dry. My husbands starter of octopus was a lot of potato and very little octopus. We prefer our dining experience in wild flower though chose to dine in the grill last night as there are too many noisy kids brought to wild flower. We chose the grill because our guests have hearing issues and thought they'd prefer the grill. Service was attentive and excellent. Ambience is tops.
Everything was incredible. We went there for my partner's birthday and everyone wished him a happy birthday and made it really special. The food was impeccable and the portions were very filling.
It's a tradition that my wife and I end each trip to Whistler with a dinner at The Grill Room. The food is always top-notch and each server that we've had the pleasure of meeting has been personable and knowledgeable, often making suggestions for our dining experience that we hadn't previously condsidered. And they're pretty good conversationalists, too! Dinner at The Grill Room is an experience that's not to be missed!
Always a wonderful experience! Service par excellence! To top it all, we got a huge tomahawk at 55oz instead of the regular serving at the same price! We could hardly finish it but I had both my husband and son with me, surprisingly we were able to finish it. Thank you!
