After our disappointing first visit to The Grill Room in 2024, we decided to give them a second try this year. We're glad we did. Unlike our first time, the steaks were perfectly tender, perfectly cooked as ordered, and perfectly seasoned-- not too salty, not too bland, just right. Three of us ordered tenderloin fillets and I ordered the ribeye, and they were all very tender and tasted fantastic. We also ordered the cesar salad as appetizers and ordered mushroom, potato puree and mac & cheese as sides and they were all great. To finish, we ordered three different desserts- chocholate sundae, chocolate chip cheesecake, and apple tart- and they were all tasty without being overly sweet. Overall, we had a great experience here and will definitely return the next time we're here.

Ordered duck. Breast and leg. Leg was cooked well. Breast came dripping blood. I asled for well done . Actually crospy as per euorepen . Waiter did not like the request but complied. Return with same blood soaked breast. Son ordered potatoe puree. 60 pet ent butter. Looked and tazted like baby food. Fries were soagy om the inside. Mcs has better fries and dont. Cost 20.00 .
Thre shrimp appt eere tiny . All three pcs for a cool 30.00 All the dishes were tastless and undercooked even after asking for well done. Absolutelly unsatisfactory for a meal for 2 costing in excess of 2 hundred not including tax and tip.

The 44oz tomahawk was exceptional, really great quality and was cooked to perfection. Sliced at the table. The service was also second to none, all of the staff were so friendly and really made it a special night to remember. We couldn't recommend the Grill Room enough!!
The Grill Room at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler completely exceeded our expectations. We tried the four-course prix fixe menu, and every course felt thoughtful, beautifully executed, and genuinely memorable. From the very first bite to the last, the flavours were perfectly balanced and the presentation was stunning—elevated without ever feeling pretentious.
The service was equally impressive. Our server struck that rare balance of being warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable without ever hovering. Each course was timed perfectly, and their wine recommendations paired effortlessly with the meal. You could tell the team takes real pride in creating a flawless dining experience.
And the atmosphere? Absolutely beautiful. The room glows with that cozy alpine elegance that Whistler does best—dim lighting, rich wood accents, and a quiet, intimate feel that makes the whole evening feel special. It’s the kind of space that encourages you to slow down, savour your meal, and enjoy the moment.
Overall, the Grill Room delivered one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Whistler. If you’re looking for a romantic, elevated, and truly delicious night out, this is the place. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

While my hubby enjoyed his meal mine was sub par. Ceasar salad just odd with piece of anchovies and bones that got stuck in my teeth. The butternut soup was very spicy. The steak and veggies were good but the potatoes were stone cold
