Very expensive, not great food choices or quality. You go to this place because nothing else is available on Peak to Peak.

I initially considered letting this incident go, but I am leaving this review for other Asians and non-native English speakers who may find themselves in a similar situation.
On Christmas Day, December 25, I visited this place. At the café on the first floor, I ordered one hot chocolate and one hot chocolate with Baileys. All the staff working there appeared to be Western (non-Asian).
The adult hot chocolate was served in a mug, while the children’s hot chocolate was served in a paper cup. I wanted to ask for a mug for my child so it would be easier and safer to drink from, but I struggled to find the words in English right away.
While I was hesitating, one of the servers—a woman—glared at me sharply, as if to say “This is what you mean, right?” She then placed the mug on the pickup counter and slammed it down very hard. Everyone nearby saw this. I am not someone who easily gets angry, but I confronted her and asked what she thought she was doing—though, honestly, I could not express myself properly in English at that moment.
A manager came over, and I shared the incident with my husband. My husband told them that they had ruined our Christmas. I broke down in tears right there. My children were visibly shaken and anxious.
I felt this was clearly an act of racial discrimination. I honestly ask: if I had been a white European customer, would she have treated me the same way? I do not believe so.
I never want to visit this place again. This was truly the worst experience I have had. I live here, in North Vancouver, and I have lived here for three years. I have never experienced anything like this before.
I do not know what kind of character this woman has or what personal circumstances she may have been dealing with, but someone who behaves so rudely—enough to ruin another family’s Christmas—does not deserve to be in a customer-facing role.
Her act of violently slamming a ceramic mug (not even a paper cup) in front of a customer was shocking and unacceptable. I was overwhelmed with anger, and then I simply started crying. My children witnessed this, and I am sure they felt, in that moment, the painful limitations placed on Asians who cannot speak English fluently.
Racism is evil. I strongly urge the management to take this incident seriously and issue a clear and appropriate warning or disciplinary action so that nothing like this ever happens again.

Unfortunately, I was there as the restaurant was shutting down for the day. The food looked and smelled great. There are inside and outside tables. You can't beat the view or 'atmosphere'.

You cannot complain about the view. A nice place to load up on some food before you head out. This is not fine dinning.

This mountain top restaurant is a good spot to enjoy the view of the mountains around Whistler and to relax in the sun. We didn't eat anything here, but we had a drink and sat on the veranda. Despite the many visitors in summer, it wasn't too crowded. However, the prices are very high for the quality offered. As the indoor seating looked more like a cafeteria, we decided to sit outside. Friendly and helpful staff.
