HI THERE, we did the dip and dine last night. my friends fish main was excellent..my chicken was ultra dry. didnt mention to staff who kinda disappeared because we were there til later having our dessert. C.
Wildflower and Grill Room are our favourite restaurants in Whistler. Every time we go we're impressed by the service. The food is always great and we love the gluten free options for our kids.
We came for our anniversary dinner and the server never acknowledged it even though it was written in the reservation booking section. Service was also very slow. For the price, it was not good value.
Quality of the food has decreased vs previous years. Chowder was bland and lukewarm, risotto was watery and the duck breast was quite chewy. Very weak tasting menu.
One of our favourite restaurants in Whistler! Service is always top notch and food quality never disappoints. The fall prix fixe menu is great value for a wonderful 3-course dinner.
Service fab and best part of our evening. From the pool bar to the host and server, fab! Food was OK. I'd expect better generally for the fairmont and have had better meals. The starter (12$ surcharge) was the burrata salad..lets just say a little odd. A reallly wet, soggy meal...the salad leaf pairing felt like older box leaf salad that added nothing to the flavour just wetness. I barely had any pistachio compared to my partner who gave me a fair bit and I think perhaps 2 very thin slices strawberry. A burrata salad is such an easy thing to produce but fell short here. My partner loved his ling cod dish, and said one of the best servings of ling cod he has had so kudos to the fish chef! My mushroom risotto was fine, as a vegetarian it was my only option but again could be better. A little more bite in the aborio, some additional oomph to flavour and for me a little more pepper but again that is personal preference. Dessert was a mixed reception. My partner had the strawberry mouse beautifully presented and was quite nice with a good balance of freshness and sweet. I ordered the coconut and pineapple cheesecake..may be the worst cheesecake I have ever eaten. It was dense, solid..just heavy. Incredibly sweet so much so I couldn't eat it. I must admit I told a few others diners around us including 2 groups of friends to avoid it. Beautiful wine (eye watering over priced but thats hotels for you) but really good selection. All in all, amazing service...your team are your greatest asset just food was a bit blah. Likely won't dine again.
I went for the dinner deal with the spa experience included and the combination was amazing. The server Sabrina did an amazing job and came just the perfect amount of times and was very authentic and friendly. The food missed a bit of uniqueness and salt but was overall good.
Right from the moment we checked in, we were treated as guests The tables are spaced with adequate clearance and the large windows brought the exterior right into the dinning area The background music and the acoustics of the space made for a great evening out
We came for the 3 course fall menu. We both enjoyed our dishes. My lingcod had a nice crust and it was cooked perfectly! My partner had the duck breast medium rare and it was tender and tasty. Dessert were excellent as we had the sticky toffee with vanilla ice cream and date sauce. The second dessert was a chocolate bar with blackberry sauce. Our server was very helpful in explaining the dishes on the menu and helping us narrow down our dishes. She was prompt friendly and provided great service.
Good service, very attentive. The appetizers and desserts were tasty, main courses were OK at best. Definitely hotel-food vibes.

We've been there twice and was average food but wanted to do the dip and dine and so gave it another try but I think we will try the Grill next time
Terrible server- was checking in on everyone around us and didn't come back once until was time to pay, didn't ask if we needed anything and just brought a bill. She then asked if we were falling asleep. Worse service I've ever experienced
Thank you for the excellent service and delicious food. Our server, Martin, was very professional. We had a good time with him. This fall special is a brilliant idea for locals.
Last night’s dinner was the fall special 3-course meal at the Wildflower located inside the Fairmont Whistler.
We sensed it was already off to a great start when, at the front of the house, we were received with a warm greeting from hostess, Marisabelle.
This warmth continued on as we had Topher, a delightful and jovial gentleman assigned to our table, who proved to be also quite knowledgeable about the menu and passionate over the food they serve which made us even more excited about our dinner choices.
For appetizers, we decided to order 2 different ones and switch midway. The tomato bisque was divine; light yet also rich; the consistency perfect (not watery nor too dense) and the amount of balsamic vinegar drizzled on top was the perfect amount to give the soup a sweet, sour, salty contrast that made every spoonful feel like a warm hug.
The seafood chowder was everything you’d want it to be; perfectly seasoned, nice consistency, and a generous amount of a variety of seafood that there’s no need for your spoon to swim aimless in your bowl to find those elusive ingredients noted in the menu. This soup brings nostalgia of those cold, lazy afternoons that made you glad that you were exactly where you wanted to be…just quietly watching the rain fall outside your window while you enjoy the best thing this moment offers: joy, warmth, and, even for a brief moment, contentment all packed in your bowl.
The duck breast was the only choice at our table and it was a definite winner; the different sauces drizzled along the rim of the plate elevated the already tender and savory dish. I only wished I requested the duck skin be made crispier. Well, that makes for a good incentive to go back.
When our deserts came, the toffee pudding ordered by the celebrant came with a lit candle light, a perfectly written ‘’Happy Birthday” along the wide rim of the plate in chocolate. Thank you for wonderful creations, pastry chef Kevin. Best of all, Topher delivered the cake while singing the birthday song. The whole dinner experience was top-notch from the 1st greeting to our goodbyes plus the vibe at the restaurant was also relaxed and upbeat which further contributed to our delightful dinner experience.
It’s wonderful to have a superb restaurant right at the hotel which you go to not just because of its convenient location but it’s actually a place you look forward to going to and would even drive to so you can enjoy their delicious food and drinks while in a great atmosphere.
Our whole experience was definitely one that we’ll forever remember with great fondness. Thank you so much to the entire Wildflower staff!
