My mother and I ate at the White Rock location on a Saturday night. The service from Rupanjeet was wonderful- she was kind and personable and gave us great insights into options that would suit us. The food was delicious and all three dishes had unique blends of spices and ingredients. Highly recommend the honey chilli cauliflower appetizer, the lamb curry and chicken rahra.

Went on a whim while in White Rock. Totally disappointing. Service was really bad. Didnt get menus for too long. Got Crispy Cauliflower Bites and Dahi Kebab which were cold and not too good in taste. Left just after eating that and didnt feel like eating anything else. Not recommended.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent order. I paid $15 for chicken but received only four very small cubes, which is completely unacceptable for the price. Not only was the portion tiny, but the food also lacked taste and was not enjoyable at all. To make matters worse, when I asked about the portion, one of the staff members was rude and dismissive, showing no respect for customers. This combination of poor food quality, bad value, and unprofessional service makes it clear that I cannot recommend this restaurant, nor will I be returning in the future.wastage of money and time .

I had a wonderful experience at Ambar Surrey Restaurant in White Rock, thanks to the amazing service from Saman. She was warm, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. From taking the time to explain the menu to checking in at the right moments, her service truly elevated our dining experience. The food was delicious, but what really stood out was Saman’s friendly and professional attitude. She made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Highly recommend visiting Ambar and asking for Saman — she’s fantastic!
Such a lovely experience! Great food, cozy vibe, and the warmest service. We had dinner on the patio Friday evening and absolutely enjoyed every bite. The noodle spring rolls were fresh and made in-house (so much better than the usual frozen ones!), the tandoori soya chaap was packed with flavor, and the Amritsari paneer kulcha with a dollop of makhan stole the show. Definitely a place worth coming back to!

The food was absolutely delicious — I ordered the paneer kulcha, and honestly, it was fantastic. I haven’t tasted anything like this in Vancouver in the last few years. Perfectly balanced flavors, fresh, and cooked just right.
The service was equally impressive — the staff were polite, attentive, and genuinely helpful without being overbearing. It made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable.
Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re looking for authentic, flavorful food with warm hospitality. I’ll be back for sure!
