This is my second time at Charlie's. The service was prompt and friendly. The food tasted quite good. The restaurant is open so the setting sun was in my eyes the entire time (went for an early dinner) and it was a bit chilly. Overall dining here was a good experience.

Great location, front row view of ocean, and good music. Great food and service. We had seafood penne alfredo and cod tacos, iced tea and mojito, all were excellent flavor and perfectly cooked. The road noise was not a problem at all. Highly recommend.

Charlie Don't Surf has a really nice vibe – relaxed, beachy, and perfect for a casual meal by the water. The menu has a good variety, and the food came out fresh and well-prepared. Drinks were also solid, especially enjoyed with the ocean view. Service was friendly, though it did feel a little slow at times when the place got busy. Prices are fair for the location, but a couple of items felt just a touch on the higher side. Overall, a great spot for a laid-back meal in White Rock – tasty food, nice atmosphere, and worth a visit if you're in the area.

Stopped by Charlie Don’t Surf for a casual drink and had a nice experience overall. The location is unbeatable — right across from the beach with a fantastic view, especially around sunset.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the pricing was reasonable for the area. I had a cocktail that was just okay — a little on the watery side — but the Guinness was nice and cold (though I wish there was a bit less foam).
All in all, a solid spot to relax by the water. Would come back for the atmosphere and maybe try something else from the drink menu next time.

No time waiting to get a seat even though they were busy! The atmosphere from the other diners was great, everyone enjoying the amazing food on offer.
We went for the famous fish and chips, jumbalia and dynamite shrimp. Wow!
Thanks to all the staff for making it a pleasurable experience! We will be back one day!!

Food not worth the price.. Service was very good..but food was found wanting. Fish and chips was tonnes of batter little fish inside...
Worst fish & chips I think I've actually ever had. I'm pretty sure it's cheap, frozen, freezer burnt cod. Even after being remade, it was barely edible. Fries are certainly far from anything special, yet their menu claims world famous fish and chips, maybe world famous for how bad it is. The West Coast Boullibasse was also a big disappointment, all seafood inside, including the mussels were rubber, as if they'd been sitting, cooking all day. They forgot the coleslaw with the fish and chips and the children's fish and chips order had more fries than ours and almost the exact same amount of fish, just served in one piece instead of two smaller ones. Service was slow, especially when the place was emtied out at the end and we sat for some 15-20 minutes wanting to leave before we could pay. We certainly won't be back.
