Food was bland. Coffee was cold. Service was abrupt and dismissive. I love little hole in the wall cafes. I want to like this place, but it's below average. Either great service with not so great food. Or crappy service with great food. Ill take either. But mediocre food food with mediocre service is disappointing. The omlette was dry. I requested the potatoes to be crispy, they were mushy and under cooked. They only have white or brown toast. I like sour dough, but thats ok. They put salsa on the omlette that is store bought. It takes 5 minutes during prep in the morning to make some fresh salsa. Store bought is lazy. I also ordered a side of chilli. That couldnt have been worse to order. It was essentially tomato sauce with some meat. Absolutely no taste to it. You can buy chilli spices pre mixed and that to it. It was bland. I live in White Rock and there aren't many good breakfast joints. This is not a good spot in my opinion. They may have 4 and 5 stars, but what I experienced was at best 2 stars. Maybe they were having an off day. But I have been here 3 or 4 times and everytime it's the same. Not great.

Friendly daughter and mother operated and run, clean, family oriented 50s style diner with counter seating, booths, tables with chairs and a couple outdoor table options. Has been a fixture in the community for decades with lots of regulars. Cash only.

I almost don’t want to share this place because it’s so amazing—but it truly is everything you’d imagine a neighborhood diner to be. The food is fantastic, the people are wonderful, and you instantly feel like you belong the moment you sit down.
I highly, highly recommend it. Part of me hopes everyone comes to try it, and part of me hopes it stays our little secret so it doesn’t get too busy. It’s a casual spot, and it’s cash only, so be sure to come prepared—that’s all part of its charm.

How can you operate a restaraunt in a place like White Rock with no debit terminal? Came here for breakfast with limited time before an appointment and had to go elsewhere. Dissapointed.
