As I am from out of town I did a Google search for best cafés in White Rock. Laura’s was on top of the list so decided to check it out. It did not disappoint. LOVED IT! Exactly the ambiance I was looking for, and the food was outstanding!
Laura's Coffee Corner is a fantastic spot in White Rock. We tried the daily special breakfast and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. The coffee was excellent, and the service was warm and attentive, making the whole experience even better. There’s lots of seating inside and a few tables outside too, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Great food, great coffee, and great service—definitely a place worth visiting!
Most stops here are great. Enjoy the drinks and baked goods, wait isn’t usually too bad. However, vegetables like lettuce and cucumber should not be heated. Please stop panini pressing the wraps with those veggies, it’s a crime.
Great unique food options, vibrant, cosy atmosphere, closer to the ocean, good for a casual chat or get some work done. Would definitely visit again!
What an incredible experience at Laura's I definitely recommend them!
Awesome little breakfast spot for a latte with some awesome nostalgia in white rock
Sharing the experience out of the coffee
I went to Laura’s Coffee Corner for brunch, and I was impressed by the huge variety of food options, both pastries and meals. I loved that they had seasonal drink options as well! I ordered the grilled cheese, but it was pretty plain; they used sliced cheese instead of grated, and the bread was very dry. I’d love to see some butter or extra cheese on the outside to enhance it. On the bright side, the drink was delicious, and I appreciated that they used people's names to avoid confusion with orders. One downside was finding the door to the place; it was a bit tricky, and if it wasn’t for a local, I don’t know if we would have figured out how to get in.

Laura's is a nice south facing diner so it gets great sun on some days making it a nice place for lunch.
It may just be inflation everywhere but I was a bit surprised that two sandwiches, two coffees and a slice of cake cost $50. Perhaps that's normal these days.
The food was good. As it's largely self service I don't think it's really worth tipping for, unless you want to express gratitude for when they bring the plates to your table.
